Just a little thought I had this beautiful morning of mornings... seriously... beautiful (70 degrees, slightly windy, lovely). I love it when you connect to a friend and have a completely seamless conversation for hours and hours...no awkward pauses nothing. I hung out with my buddy Phil last night and we had a fantastic time. We went to dinner at Golden West (soo good). I had enchiladas sopaipillas for the first time. It is basically a fried dough with shredded chicken, black beans, green chile sauce, cheese, gauc, sour cream, diced tomatoes and a fried egg. I was a bit scared since it was my first time having it, but it was yummy and I am definitely going to get it again in the future. Other than fab food, we went to see Iron Man 2, but back to the topic at hand. The whole time we had things to say to eachother and were able to delve into serious topics, funny topics, everything. It was just a good all around dishing out over stuff. It makes me feel so good to connect to another person like that which I know is a basic human instinct to want to fit in, but still it just makes me feel good. I know there are times when I hang out with people and I don't know if it's the mood we are in, but the conversation can be so ugh and it leaves me with a bad after taste when I leave. It's nothing against my friend, but some meetings are just not as good as others sometimes. It also just might be we are better in a large group together rather than just on our own. The dynamic of relationships just need certain conditions to thrive or they just putter along sometimes. But yeah, last night was fun and I am happy.
Also... I love Tony Stark and Pepper Potts relationship in Iron Man 2. They made the movie good with their dialogue. The fight scenes were lacking and were over too quickly. The snide comments and bantering between Pepper and Tony were just hilarious and super sweet. That's how I felt about Sherlock Holmes. It may be a Robert Downey Jr. thing. It's just enough to watch him act rather than to be enthralled by the action sequences. RDJ fan here <3.
