She never wanted a dime,
just a book of good rhymes,
a guitar and maybe some food.
She sees the world through her laptop and a pair of broken glasses,
She doesn't take no shit and when prompted kicks some ass,
It's a shame she never listened in school
'Cause she's awful clever.
'Fuck this fucking shit,' is her war cry, she can make firecrackers,
and blackberry pie.
She likes to travel, and sing,
when everybody's listening.
And it's not 'cause she's got a nice voice.
She loves. She likes. She spits. She fights.
It isn't a choice, it's a life, it's a way,
which works out for her, and she gets through okay.
She's everything that mothers tell their sons not to be,
and everyone knows it,
'cause she's happy.
My revised lyrics. I was thinking of Taichou when I wrote them. They follow a certain cadence, which can be hard to pick up, but I really like it. I can hear it sung in my head.
