Big News!
Big news! Kevin and I are moving to Kansas in the middle of July. Kansas I know, its crazy. If you would have told me a year ago that I would live in Kansas I would have called you crazy. Dodge City, Kansas is actually where we shall be living. Kevin went down down on Sunday, meant with the Principal of the high school, human resource director, and the football couch. They offered him a job teaching 10th grade biology and being a Assistant Varsity football coach, everything Kevin wants. Kevin has a few other job possibilities, but no offers. We both agree that he needed to take Kansas because it was a sure thing and the other possibilities are not, just maybe's. The human resource director of the school in Dodge City, has offered to help me find a job now there, and I have few options, which I am applying for now. which was very nice of her! The area is a high spanish area, but hopefully both Kevin and I can do some good now there. I am scaried to death to move, but then again Kevin and I sound like the perfect American Couple, the teacher-football coach, and the social service "wife". Before you know it, I will become the Football Mom!! Some bad things about Dodge City is that one its 16 hours driving time away, the city has like NOTHING in it, but it does have a Sonic!! AND there is no AOII chapter in Kansas, and no active Alum in the area..so how I am supposse to make friends? I am hoping to get a job in the school system, so that coming back to Michigan for different things, such as Shannon's Wedding, Christmas, and OF Course my own wedding will be easier.
I am going to miss people soo much. Every time i think about it, I really want to cry. I think Kevin will have an easier time, becuase he will be coaching football, and teaching. Hopefully I meet alot of people. It's going to be hard, but I know that Kevin needs to do this right now to get a Job, and basically I need to move out of state to get a job to. Kevin and I will be together, which will help.
I have alot to do in the next month. Get anything I can done for wedding, pack , move out of my apt now, pack again, and drive to kansas. We are planning on moving the 6th of July! That is all for now...wish me luck!!!
