So summer (post mini band camp) has officially begun and I'm leaving. I'm excited and bummed at the same time. For once I wish I could stay home and relax and chill with my friends during a summer. But camp will also be really amazing... so... I've gotta be optimistic.
Hope your summers rock. I love you all so much and don't forget it! I apologize in advance for the slowness of the mailing system (on my end) - lol, like if you get a letter a week later than I sent it. But I'm thinking of you and have fun! I'll have phone but not my charger, so if you want to talk, gimme a call late at night or so (I figure I've got a good 6 hours of juice in my phone). Um... yea. That's it I guess.
here's the letter I was going to bring to band camp yesterday and e-mail. Please write!
Oh yea, and I'll be back for 3 (?) days between June 28-30. So June 29th, plans = my house!!! Hokee? Sweet!
Bye guys! Te amo!
"Hey…
So, yes I am officially a dork, but I decided to write a pre-camp letter to you guys from well… not camp… but my computer. Make sense? No? Excellent. Okay, well basically - here is my camp address, lol:
Lauren Hershey
URJ Camp Coleman
201 Camp Coleman Drive
Cleveland, GA 30528
(And then somewhere on the envelope, include “Machon” unit)
Oh man… so I won’t make this long and poetic and nostalgic… but I’m going to miss you guys sooooooo much. And I really hope you have an amazing four weeks of summery happiness and maybe the one day I’m back for, June 29th, we can do something! Yay!
But anyway, I really hope everyone has a great summer and writes me about it!! I’ll write as much as I can, I promise - and it would mean the world to me if, perhaps when you get bored or realize I’m alive somewhere and living in a Jew camp bubble, desperately needing to hear from my friends (and the outside world), you write me a letter! : )
Or, if letter writing is truly as much of a dying art as it seems to be… then, you could always e-mail me through the URJ Camp Coleman website! But it costs money, eww. Like a dollar. And I’m not worth that (jk, I hope…). (Haha! There’s no excuse!)
Or! and here’s where the ingenuity comes in… you could still send a letter the good old-fashioned way, (in an envelope with a stamp - just checking, lol) but type the letter!
And if you feel in an amazing I <3 Lauren mood, you could send me magazines or like a novel to borrow or pictures or something fun.
But, we’ll start with writing. Because, isolation sucks. Trust me. And I want to hear from you guys…
So, once again, I’ll miss you more than words can attempt to express and hopefully it’s mutual lol. I <3 you guys! Enjoy summer bliss and get tans and go to the beach and DDR and the mall and enjoy!!!!
Love always,
Lauren
P.S. Write me :p"
