Kya~~~~ I've been extra-busy this last week, sorry guys o(>________<)o

Saturday I had Open Morning where Mr Nunkumathsmar insulted some poor child's face, and on Sunday I went to a Steve Reich concert (if you know who he is, yay! XDXD ) with Lloyd, which was so much fun d(^o^)b He's still 6'7... XDDD We look so funny together ^^ But he's really ( Read more... )

I love your Ouran mood theme. ♥

Superstar was the first song that I heard from S.H.E. It's my favorite one. :D

Thanks~! ♥ omg MOOD THEMES ::dies:: It takes me about 4 hours to muster the mental courage to attempt making one. And then about 234238172 hours to upload one because of the stupid LJ system they have where I can only upload one picture at a time ::headdesk:: I HATE IT~~~!!!

But when you compliment it, it makes it all worth it! ♥ XDDD

I love Superstar~! I like some of their other songs too... But most of them are just a bit poppy for me. That song, however, is such a play-it-on-repeat-until-it's-stuck-in-my-head-forever kind of song XD If only I understood the words... maybe I should take up Mandarin ::falls over dead of exhaustion::

:D ♥

The lyrics to Superstar are pretty cheesy, to tell the truth. :D;; I have minimal knowledge in Mandarin, and I lost all knowledge of how to read and write once I quit Chinese school because it wasn't something that I needed to do often back then. Even now, I would much rather learn Japanese or Korean than Mandarin, which makes me feel guilty because heritage-wise, I should be learning Mandarin.
What makes me feel slightly less guilty is that I'm not exactly Chinese, I'm Taiwanese. It's just that a lot of Taiwanese also speak Mandarin and...yeah. I would love to learn Taiwanese, but the Taiwanese language is insanely difficult (plus, I haven't been exposed to it as much as Mandarin) and I don't have a lot of free time. However, Taiwanese has some similarities to Japanese (since Taiwan was once in the control of Japan), and I've found that with my knowledge of bits of Japanese, I've been able to understand a few Taiwanese words.

Oooh (0____0) ::is impressed:: I'd love to even have minimal knowledge of Mandarin, gah.

I know what you mean about the heritage thing... I sometimes feel like I should know Welsh, but seriously, everyone speaks English as well as Welsh except about 5 old farmers, all called Dai Evans. Completely useless language. And hard as hell o(>______<)o

I can see what you mean about Welsh being really tough. XD There's a book I read (forgot the title; it had to do with bards and a harp) that I really liked that was set in Wales, and there were a bunch of Welsh phrases in it. It looks like such a cool language, but pretty difficult.
