Yes. Because my room does not like to heat, apparently. In fact, i bought a space heater *gasp* ILLEGAL!! ILLEGAL!! SECURI----!!
*ahem* I bought a space heater last week to use, campus rules be darned. It's only on when I'm here anyway.
General news: i have the 'need-a-kitty-now rage'. This is like the oft fabled 'baby rage' that some women from 20 to 25 experience, but in targeted to the want of a kitty rather than he want of a screaming vomit-and-poop-machine cute baby. Not that kitties are perfect either. And I already promised myself to have a job and somewhat secure life first, so no worries.
A
glowing kitty would be pretty sweet though.
Also in the department of general news and photos:
Halloween. YES I KNOW IT IS THE 8th of Nov. But i never uploaded any photos of my 'costume' and now is actually more appropriate than the 31st would have been. Although the 1st or 2nd of Nov would have been most appropriate. Anywho, I went home that Sunday at about 4, ate dinner real food with my mom and started putting on makeup. I sort of followed these
Youtube tutorials. Muchas gracias a las señoritas.
Best reaction? The little girl in the ladybug costume who almost fell back off our front stoop when she looked up at my 'eyes'. Her dad laughed, propped her back up and said, 'wow look at the eyes, aren't they neat?', then gave a little push so she stuck her bucket out to get the 3 candy bars. So hilarious and sort of cute.
Also good was seeing a Princess Leia (I freaked out about it for several minutes to my mom, even though she saw too), the Rebel Alliance orange jumpsuit soldier, the Jess from Toy Story 3, and a blue Power Ranger. I think it was Dino Thunder series, because of the stark geometric shapes. And the older girl who was taking her much younger brother around and wearing a Chinese shirt - told her I liked it and thought it was cool. There was also a Yoshi and a few other cool things that are way older than these kids, but I can't remember them all and the door photos are blurry at best.
Here's me as a calavera:
face1 face 2 body +nails As you can probably tell from pic-spam, I'm pretty proud of how it came out, especially as excluding nails, I did it in about 20 minutes. :)
Not much other news for now, except that B was finally at KP tonight and even made it to part of the officer's/cabinet meeting we had. And I got my Degree of the Rose put on the schedule. And we got the Yule Log put on. In fact, we got a lot done. Probably should have put my fingers in it sooner and gotten the Rev. involved quicker. Well. Live and learn and let go, I suppose.
Oh, and I'm probably going to real busy soon, with classes: 2 research proposals, 2 posters/lab project presentations, 1 seminar speech, 4+4 hours of service learning at the Nature Center, reflection on that, and of course tests and quizzes. Woo. Plz to be havin' diploma nao?
