Da faq. Don't even get me started on school :/ My school has formal this week, and I'm probably the only one who's not too excited about it, bloody hell. Ugh, I hate entertaining guests too...
Oh hey! I have trial exams slapping me straight after the holidays too! 8D So I guess we won't be having holidays! /I'm just about ready to shoot somebody
I'm sure you can get through it though...only a few more months left til graduation! ♥ *sends uplifting vibes & air hugs* Also hope your grandma is okay; bleeding from the nose and mouth doesn't really sound anyone's cup of tea .__.
Ahhh, my school has formal after the HSC (or whatever your state calls it). It's on the 29th or 19th of November, I can't remember because I have no intentions of going. Because, like you, I'm not excited about it and I don't think I'll be talking to about 95% in the future.
Yeah! Trial-exams-buddies! I plan to only do a bit of studying though... It's just not like me to study too hard. @_@ I'll leave that for the HSC.
Ahaha, yeah, just a few more months... I plan to work again after the trials are over since it's mainly revision for 8 weeks anyway. She's plenty fine. Saw her walking around normally during the times I visited her. :P
Damn it. My school has it compulsory, and they charge us the ticket fee to our account regardless of whether we go or not. /rage So I guess I might as well go and eat good food. :| Ahaha, I know right!! At the very least, I opted not to go to the after party, because I'm not really interested in seeing my graduating cohort get drunk either.
Ugh, I actually have to study, because trial exams are summative for us /sob
Ehhh, 8 weeks for revision??! That's so cool! We still have 1/3 of the curriculum left on average to go...so we'll probably only get 1 week of legit study at school for our final exams! @_@
My friends are trying to force me to go. They even said they'd pay for my formal ticket, but I wouldn't go regardless. It's their own problem if they want to waste money on me when I've specifically told them multiple times that I have no interest.
/patpat I'm probably only going to study for Physics and Business Studies. I'm pretty confident in all my other electives.
Yup, within the next week and a half, I'll finish my whole curriculum for all the subjects I'm doing, if I haven't already completed it. Thus 8 weeks of revision after the trials.
Aw, formal wasn't too bad, but it's definitely something I wouldn't do again. It was only bearable because I had a friend who didn't want to be there too *sigh*
Oh God, Physics. I hate Yr 12 Physics so much right now orz;; Oh? How many subjects/electives do you NSW students get? :D
Eh, I'm really really not interested so. I hate dresses and make up and just anything fancy in general. I could always go in a suit, but I wouldn't spend money just to rent it out for a night. Ah, and I hate social gatherings. Period. Especially when it's with approximately 98% of people who I don't care about. :/
Well... An ATAR subject is worth 2 units each. In total, we need at least 10 units and we don't really have a maximum amount of units, but it's encouraged not to do more than 13 units. In 11th grade we start off with 12 units, and then it's your choice in 12th grade whether to drop a few or take on more. :P I took 5 subjects and psychology and maths extension 1, the latter two worth one unit each, in 11th grade. In 12th grade I decided to drop maths extension and because psychology wasn't an ATAR course, they told me to drop that too. Hence why I only have 10 units which also means I have no back-up elective for my ATAR (since the ATAR uses your highest results of 10 units, english being
It's okay; I've only just managed to spare some time to go through the comments and messages that have acculumated anyway...so sorry for my late replies
( ... )
Ahaha! Birthday parties and excuses, I don't know how many times I've said something like, "Sorry, I have to go to the optometrist/dentist," just because I was too lazy to go to a party. /sweatdrops Nuhuh, my school is actually a public school. Girls are allowed to wear suits for the Year 10 formal since the rules are kind of slack, but I'm not too sure about Year 12 formal. OTL
Yep, I did psychology but it was more criminology psychology orientated. It wasn't that fun, though, since it was just learning all the basics. The fun bits were supposedly in 12th grade, but I already dropped the subject by then.
Ah, yes, English is compulsory. I hate how it's compulsory since most of us wouldn't have picked it if it weren't. ==
EDIT: How's your trials going by the way? I've just finished my 3rd exam today and I have 3 more to do. I seem to be doing fine so far, but...who knows. I'm kind of fearing for Physics since it's my worst subject.
*laughs* I know right! Sometimes, they're such a hassle to go to; I'd rather just be at home <3 My sister found a birthday party invitation squashed inside one of my biology textbooks that I completely forgot about... Ehhhh, screw it, LOL. It's just formal anyway, and that whole crap about you'll-regret-it is so not true.
Learning the basics of psychology is booorrrrinnggg. I wanted to go in depth, particularly into neuroscience, but oh well. Is English your only compulsory subject?
I was supposed to finish them last week, but I have to do two make up exams (including Physics) this week due to complications, bloody hell :| It hasn't particularly been too great, since I only answered like 50% of my Chemistry exam...not even 50% //bricked Ahaha, aw, Physics isn't too bad...what kind of topics do you guys learn?
Ahaha! At least you forgot about it. Unlike me, I see it and just place it away from sight so that I actually forget. And yes, I doubt I'll regret it.
Yep, English is our only compulsory subject. :) Do you have any compulsory subjects? Or none at all?
Ahhh, I'll be going back to a normal school routine starting from tomorrow, but I understand what you mean... My last few trials weren't too good. There's three that I feel like I only got around 50%... Well, just have to wait until my results are out. Uhhh, for Physics, our topics were Space, Motors and Generators, From Ideas to Implementation, and then you have three options but you only pick one. My school's option was From Quantum to Quarks.
Pfff, will you be going to graduation? I was going to, but the graduation dinner is like $85, and I'm pretty much at the poitn where I can say, screw garduation, as long as I actually graduate :P
SACE changed last year; English used to be compulsory, but now we're free to do whatever subjects we want. The only compulsory one is the Research Project, which is complete and utter bull.
I don't think we get to learn about quantums ;A; which is something I'm actually interested in. Man, the topics I've done in Physics so far have been kinda boring...(and hard) oTL
