The HTML fail I caused while writing this post was truly and bafflingly epic. I don't even. What.
It is a glorious world indeed where I can utter the sentence "So, raise your hand if you think the Durarara!! sheets-with-male-characters-on-them were directly inspired by the popularity of the Tiger & Bunny sheets-with-male-characters-on-them?"
I mean, DRRR!! has been out for years, I should think they would have come up with every bizarre piece of merchandise they could (they have cologne too, although as of yet no dinner plates) but no, they had to wait until the latest crazy-popular massive-geek-appeal-with-massive-female-audience series started releasing the salacious merch. As one commenter said, there is not even a Celty or Anri, they are not even trying to pretend they are not pandering to the same ladies who came in droves to T&B.
Although, as much as I enjoy them as characters, I really, really would not want to sleep in the same bed as either Shizuo or Izaya. Especially since the expression they gave Izaya kinda gives off vibes of "I dare you to try anything, you pathetic loser". Actually, come to think of it, Kotetsu and Barnaby look a lot friendlier than Shizuo and Izaya, and the reverse side of Shizuo and Izaya has them just sleeping like they don't even give a fuck, so...DRRR!! fans are masochists and T&B fans just want fluffy cuddles? That's really the only conclusion I can draw from this.
Also Shizuo what are you doing, I don't care how open your shirt is, smoking while lying down in bed is just a bad idea all around.
