First, I finally sent out the last of the holiday cards! I have no idea how long these things take to arrive, but uh at least know that if you asked for one, it does in fact exist and is in fact on its way.
Second, bookelfe's holiday letter to me arrived today, and it was TWO BACK-TO-BACK PAGES LONG, because she is determined to make me feel inadequate in my own holiday endeavors. On really nice paper, even! I'll begin by saying that I am glad my parents were not here when I read it, because they surely would have wanted to know why I was laughing so much. A VERY MONSTER CHRISTMAS. TENMA HAS A LIST OF THINGS RUINED FOREVER BY JOHAN. (He'll get to smile again! He totally will! Just, uh, not for a while. BUT HE WILL, I AM RESOLUTE ON THE MATTER.) CLAIRE WANTING ADVICE ON A PRESENT FOR CHANE. THE COUNT ALSO RUINING CHRISTMAS FOREVER. THE PRINCESS TUTU CHRISTMAS SPECIAL BEING, IN FACT, THE NUTCRACKER. These are the things that make me ridiculously happy. Seriously, your whole letter just made me :DDDDD. (And I am fine with either Alex or futuresoon! Hell, I've still got people who call me Talia and my RL friends have started referring to me as Phil; I am flexible with names.)
...I wonder if anyone has actually written a Christmas story for any of those series? Perhaps the unveiling of Yuletide will provide us with one. Baccano! seems the most likely suspect, if only because it would easily lend itself to holiday wackiness. Miria finally finds another use for the Santa costume from the opening! Isaac, of course, is an elf. And they spread much holiday cheer throughout the land! Somehow they manage to strategically place mistletoe near Nice and Jacuzzi, but Jacuzzi faints the moment he sees it and Nice probably blows it up on accident. AND YET IT IS STILL ROMANTIC.
I am glad that you liked the bit-longer-than-a-drabble! :DDDDD I had a lot of fun writing it, even if Johan is kind of crazy-hard to get down properly. Wanting to give Prussia a hug is the natural order of things, especially during his GDR days, and especially especially when he has to deal with kid!Johan, so you are not alone in that sentiment. And uh I may take you up on that more-letters thing, I had forgotten that sending and receiving them is kind of awesome. WE SHALL SEE.
