You say it's your birthday? Well, it's my birthday, too!
I'm hoping my Anti-Birthday sentiment from earlier was a bit on the premature side. We'll have to wait and see on that one. I mean...I am still up early on Saturday morning getting ready for a work meeting, so hopefully it can only get better. Haha.
To get the birthday weekend off to a good start, however, I met up with Andy and Dennetta at the Royal Mile last night. As I was walking in, I heard someone yelling my name - Kayla and a group of people were coming out of Spaghetti Works. I talked to them for a few minutes before making my way to bar.
We didn't stay too long (the whole working today thing, you know?), but we had a great time. Dennetta and Andy played some stellar music on the jukebox and, if I am not mistaken, we had a bit of a sing-off with the group at the next table. Clearly we won - even though I don't remember the song. It was either a Violent Femmes or Nazareth song. I love the Violent Femmes and all but in this particular situation, I think I'd garner more cool points if it turns out to be Nazareth.
Also, I got presents from C. Brett! He sent me an "I (Heart) D.C." shirt and a D.C. snowglobe.
No idea what the plan will be for tonight, though. I'm sure something will present itself.
