tim burton!
after coming across a picture in people with johnny depp in costume as sweeney todd, i am on a serious tim burton kick. i loved his charlie and the chocolate factory with johnny depp- it was so creepy, and the comedy was so dark. i want to rewatch that and watch:

o nightmare before christmas
o beetle juice
Edward Scissorhands has Johnny Depp! And it's by Tim Burton! This should be self explanatory. also, i've never seen it.
Nightmare Before Christmas is like classic Tim Burton, but I've never watched the whole thing. I vaguely remember my brother watching it on TV when I was pretty young (maybe 5 or so?) and so then it just creeped me out and scared me and I didn't know what was going on, so I didn't watch it, but you see figurines of the characters in catalogs.
I've also never seen Beetle Juice, but I always knew the character because they showed him on Nickolodeon all the time- he was on "What Would You Do?" a lot for some reason. Aw, I loved that show.
There's something appealing about the offbeat, dark, Gothic quirkyness of all of it, like Edgar Allen Poe literature. Not that I've read much of his work either- just a couple short stories in English, obviously including "The Raven" and "The Tell-Tale Heart."
In other news, DC United lost 4-2 to Kansas City =( and after their bad start to the season, the whole team is thinking, "Crap, we're not as good as we thought we were." We decided not to go to the game because big crowd + crutches + lots of rain = a little sketchy. Houston Dynamo won though with a good header by Brian Ching. <3 Dwayne DeRosario, it would have been nice to see him score; he had some good shots.
