cheesecake and heating pads

Earlier today my mom mentioned something about earaches, and how we had them all the time when we were little. "Wow," I said, "I haven't had an earache in like ten years!"

Then my parents, brother, aunt and uncle and I went to Cheesecake Factory for my birthday dinner =) which was pretty excellent, despite the hour-long wait. It was like New Year's Eve though in that there's a new celebration every hour around the world, except for birthdays and condensed into 2 hours or so. We heard them sinigng happy birthday at least 5 other times.

Then we come home, and Tim is showing us pictures of his NASA internship thongy, and all of a sudden I have CRIPPLING PAIN in my ear. Like, BAM. I haven't even thought about having earaches in ten ears. Conveniently, my uncle is an audiologist, but the basic conclusion was, "Well, it looks red."

bah I just hope the earache and sinus problems all go away before surgery on Wednesday.

Ahahaha I just read Gene Weingarten's article in the Washington Post Magazine and it is the best thing ever. He often calls 800 numbers from products and asks them absurd questions. He'd gone to a pharmacy and picked up some product to deal with nausea. He called in and said something about how he's struggling admidst the lack of purpose to his existence. Lady on phone: "What?" Gene: Well, Jean-Paul Sarte said... ahahaha <3 philosophyyy

Also, my brother apparently stole a copy of Siddartha from the school. Haha way to take the path of the enlightened, Tim. ;) juuuuuuust kidding.
