El Shit
My mom is learning spanish right now. It's kind of funny because she speaks a spanglisench. That is a mix of Spanish, English and French. She is trying really hard and I am proud of her efforts. She studies more than I ever did. Of course she expects me to know all sorts of spanish words, of which I haven't seen since high school. It's been helping my memory a bit. (I've been having trouble with it in general.)
The title of my entry is actually something she said this morning. She was practicing her pronounciation of some words as she was getting ready for work. She finally got ready and went to put on her coat in the little hallway and knocked over my cup of change. "El Shit" is all I heard next. Now my mom rarely cusses, maybe once a month, maybe. So it made the whole thing funnier. El Shit....
April fools day was in the air today. Unfortunately, I didn't get anything together for today but some ladies at work did. We had a baby shower today for someone who isn't prego and is old enough to be a grandma. Her son might be marrying a girl from the office at some point, but they just started dating 5 weeks ago. It was all very disturbing. They had presents and the whole deal.
But creepy for sure.
Other than that nothing very eventful is happening. I'm a little down but other than that things are quiet. Blah!
