Quick Cap of the Past Two Days

May 10, 2011 12:36

Two nights ago, I took part in my first 12 hour Karaoke experience. It was fun and exhausting, but mostly fun because one of the Japanese guys kept singing Frank Sinatra songs. XD He was pretty good too.

The next day, we all went to Fuji Q Highland, a theme park near the base of Mt. Fuji. A theme park known for it's Haunted Hospital, I was quite nervous to actually go in...

Side story: I watched Steven King's "It" when I was a kid, not knowing the clown would drag people into sewers and devour their scrumptious little bodies. ._. Since then, I've not been huge on scary things.

So, they put me with the two couples in our group and another girl to venture through the hospital. The girls held onto their guys, and I held onto the other girl. (I was that scared) and we walked through the bloodied, corpse ridden, zombie hospital. ._. I jumped and screamed at everything that moved, and eventually bolted through the end, providing a show for those waiting to enter. [/laugh]

The next portion of our trip was dedicated to Roller Coasters. I'm doing this all from my phone, so google and wiki stuff on your own, but the first coaster up for grabs was Eejyanaika. Holy. Shit.

Eejyanaika was in the Guinness Book of World Records in '06 for having the most inversions of any roller coaster with a staggering 13. It's also the world's second 4D Roller Coaster, meaning the seats ALSO move as the coaster moves. Now, I love coasters, but that thing beat the shit out of me...

They lie you on your back as you steadily ascend to the peak of the coaster, and then as you start to drop, they flip you on your stomach (facing the ground) as you screech down. ._. It almost constantly changes your center of gravity though the bends and drops for two minutes, leaving everyone dazed as they get off the damn thing. Awesome. I think some Japanese people learned some new English words 'cause of that experience. XD

Fujiyama was next. This one also broke records for the steepest drop, 79 meters, but it's been used so much that the turns rattle and clank the cars, adding to the fear. But, it was nice ascending to MT Fuji in the distance. I felt calm until I dropped and shat myself. XD What made it worse was the placement of support beams and the track. I felt like I had to duck to keep my head from being knocked off, and my poor friend was SOOO close to smashing his face against the ground. O.O Iono if I'd ride that one again, but I'll sure as hell'll never forget it. (Spell check didn't yell at me for hell will, sweet)

I then had to ride Eejyanaika again because someone didn't want to ride by themselves, so my salad was double tossed, and my poor friend almost lost his. >.<

Needless to say, I'm exhausted, but this trip was much needed. No drama, no thinking, just pure fun with friends. ^.^

I wish Aimee somehow could've come though, there was a lot of cute stuff she'dve loved... Maybe if she comes to Japan, I could take her there... T.T
