Screw you with something hard and sandpapery
~.: So I'm going to Otakon this weekend. Planned my time off more than a month in advance, everything was honky-dory. Until I noticed two days ago that the schedule was changed, cutting straight into the middle of my Otakon weekend. I was originally planned to work 4-midnight on Sunday when I got back from the con. Now they want me to come in at midnight on Sunday (Saturday night into Sunday morning). Right in the middle of the con. So I said, "okay, alright, whatever, this sucks, but I'll figure out my coverage and work with it." No. I get a call this morning. "You only put in for the 31, which is Saturday. It's too short a notice for you to request for time off for Sunday. I'm not approving any schedule changes." Um. Excuse me? I asked her what I'm supposed to do about the money I already spent. She basically just said, "Sorry, not my problem."
~.: SCREW YOU. I am so sick of this. So we're supposed to notify them a month in advance when we want off, but they don't have to tell us until a week in advance when our schedules are changing? Are you serious? Dammit, if I wasn't taking classes, I would seriously tell Liv that she may want to look into redoing the schedule again, because I don't know who's working the overnight on Sunday, or any of the other shifts I'm scheduled to work hereafter. Why do I back myself into a corner??? I HATE EVERYTHING.
