It's awesome to not have health insurance! :D

~.: Apparently my boss not only sucks at delegating tasks, but also at knowing when her staff qualify for benefits and paid time off. When I was hired, I was told I would qualify for benefits after 90 days of employment (and she repeated this to me again about two months ago when I brought it up again, asking her if I needed to call them or if I'd get the paperwork in the mail- she told me they'd just send me the paperwork). Well, 90 days rolled around, still no paperwork. Another 30 days go by and still no paperwork. So I called HR today and finally got a hold of a human being, and was informed that I qualified for benefits back in May, after 30 days and that it was at 90 days that my paid time off would be available to me. Mm hmm. So now, my options are either wait until January for open enrollment, or pay some indeterminate amount of back-premiums for the past two months. I'm not comfortable being without health insurance. I'd really like to have a full physical since I haven't had one in years, and I'm due for another dentist appointment. God forbid I should get really unlucky like Sarah and have to go to the ER and figure out how to pay a ridiculously huge hospital bill. The chances of me actually needing insurance for an emergency are slim, but the nature of emergencies is that you generally aren't planning on them. >>

~.: On top of that, I'm anxious to find out if Layne got that job or not (she is more than I am, obviously, but guh, I wanna know now ><").

~.: Anyway, I'm tired. It's time for bed. See you in the evening.

interview, sleep, annoyed, tired, layne, wtf, insurance, work
