I will survive ... hey hey

~.: I gotta start this entry by again professing my love to Layne (I'm sober this time at least XD). you're one of the most beautiful people I know :) You'll never know how deeply moved that simple statement made me feel. Had my host siblings not been sitting right next to me as I read it, I would have started crying. Instead I quickly dried my eyes. I miss you so much and to read that small bit of encouragement (I thought it was encouraging) was more powerful than anyone would expect. I love you, Layne; can't wait to see you in like, 30-something days. ♥

~.: Okay, enough with the mush. Today was a really, really good day, partially because it involved spontaneous shopping. I actually needed to buy stuff so I'm glad Pam, Aileen and I headed over to Taka no Hara on the way home. I needed black tights and a black turtle neck to go with the black and white one-piece I bought in Akihabara this summer. And then, Pam, curse her, convinced to spend nearly 4000 yen on a setto. But, oh em gee, those purchases were probably the best purchases I've made since coming to Japan. The turtle neck will match my one-piece, and I can layer it under like, two or three other shirts, and layer it under the new set I bought today and it looks so good. And the tights I bought were black and silver (they have silver sparkles all over them) and the spaghetti-strap shirt that came with the set is edged with silvery lace stuff and it matches the tights exactly. Not to mention, it's leopard print, and it also matches my heels perfectly. So I've got so many awesometastic new outfits out of the three purchases I made today.

~.: After shopping we stopped at Starbucks and I was seriously craving a cinnamon dolce cream frappuchino but they were only serving them kyonen. So I settled for a javachip frappuchino instead. But it was delicious and they were playing Christmas music and I'm really glad I get to be home for Christmas.

~.: Anyway, I'm gonna finish reading this chapter in my text on Christianity so I can write my comparative religion essay (that sounds like it would be a fun class but it's actually for my Asian Religions class and I have to compare all the other religions to Christianity; I'm not sure why, but it's interesting anyway). And I'm so excited about the field trip we're going on in two weeks: onsen in Arashiyama, ftw. ^o^

homesick, japan, shopping, layne
