Field trips and other such things

~.: Yesterday was a wasted day. We had a field trip to apparently make us aware of the cultural differences of Koreans living in Japan and Okinawans living on the mainland. Neither of these I saw. We went to a boring museum whose presentations I couldn't understand and apparently the English guide was useless (so says Marcy- I wouldn't know cuz I didn't use it). I wish I could've stayed home and slept. The only good/cool thing we got out of it was that during lunch, one of the Japanese girls was teaching us Japanese Sign Language, which is so cool. It makes alot more sense compared to ESL. It was fun comparing the signs for things. Like, for cat, in ESL you make a "C" with your hand and bring it back across your cheek like whiskers. In JSL you make your hand into a fist, hold it up by your cheek, and sort of nod it up and down (like cats in anime do). Milk in ESL is using both hands to make a gesture like milking a cow. In JSL you bring your to index fingers to the top of your head (like a cows horns) and then to the front of one breast to make a squeezing type gesture. Since cows and women both have milk. We all thought this was hilarious. And then, there are specific signs for different cities in Japan. Nara uses one hand placed horizontally in front of you at chest level, while the other makes something like an "okay" sign up by the face. This is like Buddha, since Nara is famous for Toudaiji Temple, which is Buddhist. I thought it was really cool.

~.: Facebook is being stupid. It keeps logging me out whenever I have new tabs open. I'm uploading pictures for anyone who cares.

~.: Dad is going to put the house up for rent as of December 1, so it is quite possible that I could be going home to a different house. Which would be cool. Though it takes some of the fun out of packing stuff up and actually moving (I love moving :D). But it's also possible that my Christmas break upon returning home will be spent packing and moving. Maybe it's a good thing. It'll make moving into my dorm a little easier if everything's already packed up. Or maybe it'll make moving easier if everything's packed up for my dorm. .... something.
