This is what happens when we worship people

Coon's troubles seemed to come to a tipping point this week when he was suspended for fighting outside with a classmate. Students said Monday's fight was over God - Coon told his classmates he didn't believe in God and instead worshipped rocker Marilyn Manson.

~.: This quote was taken from this article. Now, don't be mistaken. I'm not trying to use my LJ to push my beliefs down anyone's throat. You all should know I gave that up in highschool. My point is that we need to put our faith in something outside of ourselves and bigger than us. Because when we start worshiping each other- well, let me put it this way. Every person is just as fallible as the next. We all have the same ability to do nothing as concerns the universe. We cannot do anything that is outside of our control- which points to the fact that we cannot control everything.

~.: Even if my God is not who I believe Him to be, there is definitely Something out there in Whose hands is all control. I would rather follow that Something that has all the power than a person, who is just like me, who has no power.

~.: Did any of that make sense?? I should do homework. >>;

random, god, sigh
