~.: So I spent an hour standing/sitting on the floor of the train station discussing the true and deep lifestyle of someone belonging to the BDSM community. It was fascinating, from a human point of view, from a Christian point of view, from a psych major point of view. It was just plain fascinating. It's so much more than "whips and chains excite me." It's so much more than kinky sex. And people who look down on those belonging to the BDSM community because of a psychological feature they have no control over should be hit in the head really hard with a revised version of the DSM (which is yet to take sadomasochism off its list of sexual disorders >>). Srsly, these people are just misunderstood, and once they can be understood within the codes, rules, and laws of their own subculture, the rest of the majority society can step back and stop pulling people out of "abusive relationships." >> [/rant]
~.: In other news, we're headed to Hiroshima on Saturday. I know I already mentioned it. Just saying it again. I'm not looking forward to getting up way earlier than usual on a Saturday to head to a city in Japan that my country bombed fifty or so years ago. I'll be grouchy to begin with- the emotional strain that this field trip is likely to cause me will not make anyone around me any happier, I promise. >>;
~.: Duarte's online. Right now. I'm talking to him. Right now. It makes me happy. ♥
