King's Fest 2007 and some other stuff

Jul 08, 2007 02:28

~.: I'm hoping this won't be a totally long entry that no one ends up reading, cuz I really want people to read this (or at least the whiny part that I plan to put at the end).

~.: So, Thursday morning, Sarah comes, and we stop at IHOP for some breakfast before driving down to King's Dominion. We get there, pay the $10 for parking (why so much??) and wait for Christina to show up. She does and we all head into the park for some roller coasters. Lots of pictures were taken by all, good (and by good I mean terrible for your body) food was consumed by all, and then we headed over to the concerts to watch David Crowder and the Newsboys.

~.: The seats we got were sort far from the stage (farther than we would've liked), but it turns out they weren't so bad after all. They set up a little platform in the aisle about ten rows up from us and Peter (the lead singer of the Newsboys) got up there with his guitarist and we basically had front row for a little while. Sarah got some really awesome pictures and video, as did Christina.

~.: Friday we had to get up sorta early to meet the guy we were buying Friday's tickets from (since we couldn't get the three day combo and had to buy everything separately and didn't get Friday tickets until the last minute from some guy on Craig's List). I paid $200 for them (ajflkdjafjda;lfjd ><") and then we were off. This was the night I was really looking forward to because it was Kutless and tobyMac and Casting Crowns (ADD~~ omg~~). tobyMac friggin' rawked of course. Lots of dancing and jumping around and praising and worshiping and the aisle nazi from Hell kept yelling at me and Sarah and Christina to get out of the aisle wtf.

~.: Oh yeah, I also bought stuff on this day too. I bought a dog tag with Hebrews 11:1 on it: Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. And I got six little buttons. One of them is a little Jesus fish, one of them says "Satan is a freak'n moron," one says "I ♥ you," one of them says "Some choices are wrong" (pro-life, anyone?), one says "i <3 jesus," and one says "My Best Friend, my one and only" with a little heart.

~.: And then tonight, the last night, was Jeremy Camp. Todd Agnew and some other artists were there too but Sarah and I (Christina couldn't come today) really only cared about Jeremy. I did, however, buy a t-shirt of Todd Agnew's for my mom and stood in line for his autograph too. I can't wait to mail it to her. She's gonna be so psyched.

~.: I also felt God pressing it upon my heart to sponsor a little girl and so finally, I caved, and decided to sacrifice $32 a month to sponsor a little girl in India. I'm really excited about doing it. ^-^

~.: I'm feeling jealous and I know I shouldn't. But why does that girl have to write all on his wall and stuff?? Why? I mean, she's free to do whatever she wants and I feel silly for even being bothered, but ajfdlkajfl;djaf;dkjaf;kdajfd. I feel like I'm losing something or missing out on something or something. I wish we could talk on the phone more ... I should get a calling card so I can call him too instead of him calling me all the time. -pout-

~.: Okay, I think I'm done now.
