So, the popularity of fursuit heads that can be chucked in the washing machine is rising. How do these heads differ in construction to other fursuit heads? Do the eyes get taken out? Is hot glue used, and if so, doesn't the washing dislodge parts of the head like teeth/eyes?
Also, doesn't the foam take so long to dry out that it'd pose a mould risk

oh hell i'm sorry for posting here that amount of times, y'all are just helping me so much i can't stop that easily...  okay, anyways, i just started on my own fursuit /made quite a few commissions past two years but couldn't manage to make anything for myself until now/ and need some general/moving jaw advice /the head is all foam/

UghI just moved out of an apartment that had an issue with mice. I tried to move my fursuit head out of reach, but no dice. My new apartment has no exposed holes from the outside and a maintenance crew, so I'm not worried about it happening again, but I need to know what to do with the damage done ( Read more... )

so, i have that one commissioner who has a dragon fursona. the fursuit is coming along great, the customer is happy so far, but still there's a problem - the character has something like a feather mohawk. the (natural) feathers i need to use should be 30-40 cm (12-16") long, so it's quite a lot ( Read more... )

Hey guys, I wanted to finally get around to making my fursona, since she was a bit complicated to start with.
She's a reptile, so I was thinking I'd make her with fleece, though I have a few questions:

I wanted to double check to make sure I'm on the right track here. I need something light to make a small beak so I was leaning towards using paper clay, since I don't have the means of casting one from resin right now.
