heart of darkness and Mr. Todd...and it's 4:33am and I'm not asleep..

Accidentally watched Last King of Scotland on TV, which's a horrifically stressful, especially when you realise there's nothing truly sympathetic about the main character other than the actor being James McAvoy whose face currently induces a lot of sympathy from me. Also, that's a lot of unexpected nakedness...The violence is actually less than expected. The conceit of the book though, seems somewhat awkward- so the fictional doctor will..tell the truth about a true violent dictator?

McAvoy's characters need better friends in general... At least, his human characters do because except for Leto II and Tumnus, in the movies I've seen, he's always optimism tragically betrayed and he's very good at it: Bright Young Things, Wanted, XMFC, Last King of Scotland..and, I think, in Atonement and even Becoming Jane to an extent (I've only Wikid this..)

Also, at some point I have to realise that I just have to stop editing as I'm writing because if I go back and rewrite substantially, each sentence tends to become denser...and the piece is less readable as a whole. The stuff that I just type out in straight-forward style tend to be better. Does anyone want to beta for my XMFC dysutopia fic? Well, just take a glance over it before I inflict each chapter on the Internet?

And a rec: I'm desperately hoping this de-aging WIP will be updated because it makes me mentally flail a lot, dreading and hoping.

For something completely different: Floating Libertarian Islands?

...so, all the progress since Social Contract is for..what?
