oneiromancy necessary
It's 7am. I've been up since around 6am after exactly 4hours of sleep, which's par the course for me nowadays instead of the normal 7 hours. Dear self, please start dreaming properly because Total Darkness is annoying and tendency toward lucid-dreaming means it will make me wake up out of sheer..boredom. I'm horribly tired and has a panda-ish aspect and it's just..awful. My brain's so messy at the moment my left hand is now my dominant hand, which only occurs when I don't get enough sleep. I threaded a needle(usually right) and sewed(usually left) on a loose button this morning with my left this morning..
Meanwhile, XMFC obsession continues unabated, to the point that I'm not reading news but I read the Wiki entry for Legion, Charles' sometime comic-canon son and thought to myself that the biography, seen sideways and with a name substitution, is like a mpreg remix of XMFC ( Sidenote Rec: amazing mpreg fic here, not my thing, but the writing is wonderful). Also, back to Charles-in-Comics-Canon- that's serious moral dodginess there. In terms of XMFC, I still harbour an ardent desire for Erik to do penance but fics so far have been..very kind to him while inexplicably putting Charles in brothels in AUs. Many also have a very flattering view of "consent" issue of 60s medicine. Actually, seen in context, the fact that movie!Charles, 60s scientist that he is, actually think about consent (albeit for telepathy) puts him pretty much at the forefront of applied ethics.
Partly thanks to 60s science, I actually have mandatory Ethics in Science course every morning this week.
