HoneyBush Bubble Tea

I love bubble tea. :O I mean I really love bubble tea!!

For those who dont know, bubble tea is a drink originating in Asia, I beleive specifically Taiwan. The idea is to take a strong tea flavored base add a cream component, a sweetner and a texture component - with the texture component usually being large black or colored tapioca pearls, though coconut jelly is also popular. Then you shake them with ice or blend everything but the tapioca and pour it over the tapioca. Though, one or two of these can be omitted or replaced with something else... For example Fruit flavored bubble teas can be made by blending ice with fruit or ice with fruit and a cream or the fruit can be replaced by a fruit flavored syrup and then it can be shaken or blended. You can also add tea to them! @___@ There are so many options.

I just recently started experimenting with my own flavors and here are a couple I realy liked using honeybush tea, a type of naturally sweet red tea.

HoneyBush Bubble Milk Tea #1

Add a 1 part sweetened condensed milk to 4 parts strongly brewed honeybush tea, shake with ice and pour over tapioca pearls in a tall glass.

Honeybush Bubble Milk Tea #2

Fill a shaker cup with 1 part strongly brewed honeybush tea and one part half whole milk, add white and brown sugar syrups to taste. Shake well and pour into a glass with ice and tapioca pearls.
