A lot of series would be a LOT better if they were Gintama. XD

My favorie part of Bleach was still the Karakura days - which was very much a slice of life, monster of the week type thing. That could have gone on amusingly for quite a while before Kubo decided to turt in into Days of our Afterlives and plopped everyone down in the middle of shinigami business.

Don't get me wrong, I love the shinigami and the arrancar are fun too - but he seems to like to juggle backstory and rather fast paced current events in a very frustrating manor. I think, the arrival of the arrancar would have been more jarring if things had gone back to "normal" for a while after Ichigo and co got back from SS. The inner hollow build up could have taken a more leisurely, foreboding course; there could have been less obvious, but certainly more ominous signs of Aizen's meddling - and, of course, room for crack and win.

Not to mention character development from the main crew. They just got back from the afterlife and now they're in high school. Although they don't know what awaits them in the rest of their lives, they know what happens after you die.

Makes high school kind of pointless doesn't it? XD THAT is something worth exploring.

I think, the biggest problem with Bleach lies in where Kubo stretches things out. If he stretched out the calmer, sillier parts, it makes the action packed, angsty parts that much more intense. Instead, we get non-stop fighting with moments of comedy. -_- *sigh*
