Summary: It was the hardest Yesung had ever listened, he strained his ears to make sure he picked every single word. These words he so desperately wanted to hear would either have him happily striving for something that would bring him all the happiness he ever dreampt of or bring him to the lowest level of personal hell where he knew he had absolutely no chance.

He sat there in his self-darkened room. He had been there since two days ago, when Yesung and all his members came back from a taping of a new show, Idol Now, it was a new kind of show that was all about getting down and dirty and asking what all the fan girls wanted to know. "New, no holds bar, Idol Talk", was what the TV kept promoting.
And boy did it lived up to its name. All the members were first excited to hear that they were all booked for the new show, it was rare that all 13 of them got asked to be on the same show, and when Suju heard that the show was going to be a special, they anticipated the shows taping.
All was going well, the members were their usual selves, wining over the hosts and all the staff present. And then the subject quickly changed to a very touchy subject for all idols, love. Everything was going smoothly, they bantered and blushed, joked and had fun, and Yesung was having fun poking fun of everyone. And then the subject of how close the members were to each other came up.
"You know Super Juinor is known for their deep bonds and skinship" said the male host to his female partner.
"Yes I heard that too, so much so that your fans have even gone so far as to bunch you up into couples, is that right?" asked the female host with a very shy grin
"Yes, thats true" answered Leetuek.
"But we are naturally very touchy with each other, its not because of the fans," said Sungmin
"It's because were stuck with each other practically 24/7, we don't even notice that were doing it" smirked Heechul as he removed his hand off of Hankyung's thigh.
"I see, natural skinship and affection, so I guess you all don't like the couple pairings the fans love so much?" asked the male host.
To this all the members started shaking their heads, they didn't want to upset their fans who supported them so whole heartily. They all started mumbling over each other, how they were so grateful to their fans, and how much they loved them and their members. Soon the nothing could be heard but the members talking over each other. The hosts both looked at each other and both thought how difficult it must be to decide on anything with so many members in one group.
Then not being able to take anymore Kang-in, loudly cleared his throat and the studio was quiet once again.
"No, we like it", said Kang-in blushing as he looked over to Teukie who was giggling.
"Aww cute," said the female host.
"Tell me what are the most popular pairings?" asked the male host.
"KangTeuk, EunHae, HanChul" started Shindong but was cut off.
"Stop. Is there any couple worth mentioning besides Kangteuk, said Kang-in as he hugged his leader around the mid-section.
"Omo!" yelled out the female host excitedly.
"Please, like theres a chance you guys are cuter or better than Hyukkie and me" said Donghae as he got up from his seat and went to hug his Hyukkie from behind and rested his head next to Eunhyuk's, closing his eyes as he took in a big breathe, savoring the others scent and feel, and hopefully driving the fangirls wild when it aired.
"Hae~" said Eunhyuk as he flushed red and covered his face with his hands in embarrassment.
And the studio lost it, the two host, got up out of there seats and were walking around the chairs they were sitting in, covering their faces. While the other members started talking over each other again.
"Yah~ fish boy, you think you and that monkey are hotter than us. Just look at me and Hannie! You guys can't even compare to us, were the best looking couple!" yelled Heechul.
"How come I'm never partnered with anyone?!" yelled out Shindong.
"I wish Henry was here!" yelled out Ryeowook who started to pout.
"Kyuhyunnie, were the best couple right?" asked Sungmin cutely and the younger nodded.
"Settle down everyone, settle down!" yelled out the male host.
"Aigoo, I don't think they'll ever agree on the answer" laughed the female host.
"I don't think so either," laughed the male host as well. "That's why sometimes you are paired with other people right?" started the male host and quickly continued not letting anyone respond to what he said for fear that it might start another bickering battle. "Siwon, I noticed you were very laid back on the subject and didn't take sides with anyone, why is that? are you not paired up with anyone?" asked the host and the whole group looked at him and laughed. The two host looked at each other with matching clueless expressions, maybe they hadn't done their homework as thorough as they thought.
"Sorry," said Kang-in as he tried to stop laughing. "It's just that Siwonnie is the trade boy of Suju"
"Trade boy?"asked both hosts.
"Yea, trade boy, fans partner him up with just about everyone, and in fanfictions his personality ranges from sweet and charming to possessive and dominating. Hence a trick of all trades" smirked Heechul, only he could have explained the reasoning in such a way.
"So Siwon, since you are partnered up with almost everyone, who are you partnered up most with?" asked the male host.
"Well, I get partnered up a lot with Heechul and Hankyung, so SiHanChul, and I get partnered a lot with Eunhyuk and Donghae, EunSiHae," said Siwon in a very matter of fact sort of way.
"Oh mostly with other couples" said the female host.
"No, he gets paired a lot with just Heechul hyung or Hankyung hyung or with Eunhyukkie" said Kang-in and Donghae held Eunhyuk tighter.
"He also gets paired a lot with Yesung" said Heechul, sending Yesung a creepy smirk, as if he thought that he was helping out by saying that.
'He probably just doesn't want people to keep pairing Hankyung and Siwon together anymore' thought Yesung.
"With Yesung, that seems like interesting couple" said the male host.
"I think they would make a very good couple" said the female host as Yesung tried not to blush at the statement or at the sudden quizzical look Siwon threw at him.
"Now Siwon is showing some reaction," said the male host and Siwon continued to fidget in his seat.
"It seems that Siwon is very popular" said the female host
"Yes, paired up with almost every member and there wouldn't be a member who he didn't go well with" said the male host.
"So with Siwon being "traded" around so much I wonder what Siwon thinks about it" asked the female host.
"I don't mind," said Siwon very absently and Yesung pouted. In a perfect world Siwon would have said he hated it, and that he only wanted to be associated with Yesung.
"Of course you wouldn't mind" said Heechul as he flipped his hair with his hand.
"But that makes me wonder, Siwon gets paired up with almost everyone, why? I think its because he goes well with everyone and because the fans don't know his ideal type" said the male host.
And Yesung's world literally went blank, dark, all he could see was Siwon. He held his breathe as he saw think about it and look over at his members. Yesung thought that Siwon had looked at him a little longer than everyone else but he wasn't too sure, all his focus was still aimed at hearing his answer.

"That's ok, I'm sure all of your fans and the viewers would love to know" said the female host with a wide smile, knowing that this would be sure to get people to tune in.
'Playing the fan card again,ugh' thought Siwon and he knew that he couldn't get out of not answering the question. "Well, I like someone whose outgoing"
'Outgoing' thought Yesung, he was outgoing, ok maybe if you said outgoing he wouldn't be the first first member you thought of but once he was comfortable in a situation he could be outgoing.
"Someone who's really smart," said Siwon
'Smart', thought Yesung and he perked up, 'I'm smart, I mean I can be...if I wanted to be' thought Yesung as his excitement started to ware off and gut renching fear started to come over.
"Someone whose good around people, who makes people feel comfortable when their around them"
'Makes people feel comfortable', ok Yesung couldn't even sugar coat that one, he had been told countless of times that he makes people feel uncofortmable.
"Someone whose just a normal, regular, and down to earth" said Siwon with a playful smile.
'Normal?! Regular?! Down to earth?! He might have well as said anyone but Yesung' thought Yesung, his whole thing was being different, not normal, but still you couldn't help but love him for it anyways. He really wished that Siwon would just stop talking, Yesung didn't think he could take anymore disappointment, it hurt too much.
"What about physically?" asked the male host.
"Well, my ideal type is someone whos...as tall as I am" said Siwon after a glance toward his members, that Yesung missed.
'Tall...?!', thought Yesung, he barely came up to Siwon's chin, 'I guess I could ask Eunhyuk if I can borrow his shoe lifts' thought Yesung.
"Someone with a thin and sweet voice" continued Siwon.
'Thin and sweet' thought Yesung thought he might cry, his voice was always described as husky and sexy.
"And I like someone with long, wavy hair" said Siwon
'Long and wavy', Yesung frowned sadly, the person Siwon was describing was nothing like him, and Yesung started to feel all his hope start to slip away when Siwon gave one final blow.
"This sounds like a women your describing?" asked the male host.
"Yes, my ideal partner is a women" said Siwon as he looked down into his own lap.
And bam the final blow hit him both in the heart and stomach all at once, Yesung never felt so bad, if it weren't for the fact that he was in front of a room full of people and cameras he would have broken down like he wanted to but he didn't. But for the rest of interview he was silent and Yesung was only to glad when the shows taping was finally over.
Yesung sighed heavily as he tried not to cry of the memory. D-day, he liked to think of it, 'De day I found out Siwon would never go for me'. 'De, the, same thing', thought Yesung.
Yesung was still wallowing when he heard the door open, but he didn't bother to turn and look to see who had entered his room.Yesung must have fallen asleep waiting for the intruder to talk because the next thing he knew he had his covers taken away from him and he was kicked very hard.
"Yah~ Are you just going to mope around all day" yelled out Heechul.
"Why do you care" asked Yesung as he got up off the floor and rubbed the side that was aching.
"What I can't care?" asked Heechul, he was honestly getting a little tired of everyone always accusing him of not caring about his fellow members or that he wasn't close with them like they were with each other.
"That's not what I meant", said Yesung in a kinder tone, not wanting to get the princess Heechul mad at him. "What are you even doing down here anyways?" asked Yesung as he sat on his bed again.
"Well, I heard from Donghae, who was told by Eunhyuk, who Ryeowook told that you were in bed, being all emo,so I came down here to see what's up. Two I came here because I was bored and three, because I think that I can help you out"
"Help? How do you even know theres something troubling me?" asked Yesung surpried.
"Duh~ I'm Kim Heechul, I know everything. There isn't a thing that goes on in these dorms that I don't know about" said Heechul as he pointed up and then down, indicating the two apartments that the members shared together with an evil smirk that made you know he was serious. "And I happen to be an expert in getting anything I want...including men and women".
Yesung looked at him wide-eyed. Was he really so easy to read that even Heechul, who frankly only cared about himself, could tell that he was in love with Siwon.
"Yes, I know all about you and your little crush on church boy" said Heechul with his famous rotten smile as Yesung stared at him with shock.
"How- how- how'd you know?" asked Yesung after he was able to close his mouth again.
"Please, like I said, I'm Kim Heechul" he said as he sat across from Yesung, on Ryeowook's bed.
"Do- do you think anyone else knows?" asked Yesung, worrying in particular over whether one certain person knew.
"Psh...everyone is so wrapped it up with their own shit that they haven't even noticed. And no I don't think that Siwon knows." added Heechul when he saw Yesung's panicked face when he didn't mention his crushes name. "So what are you going to do about that"
"What do you mean?" asked Yesung.
"I mean don't you want to be with Siwon? You know that he kind of needs to know to make that happen"said Heechul in a snarky attitude. "Your afraid aren't you" added Heechul when he saw Yesung look at him with a crazed, terrified expression.
"Your not going to tell him are you?" asked Yesung nervously, "Please you can't tell him,"
"Why? If I just told him then, you wouldn't have to be troubled anymore, it could just be over with and who knows he might feel the same way about you too".
"He doesn't," said Yesung and continued when Heechul gave him a quizzical look, with the arch of an arch of his eyebrow, "Weren't you at the same show taping that I was at yesterday?"
"Yeah and?"
"And, Siwon said that his ideal type was someone who was smart, outgoing, down to earth, good with people and whose tall" said Yesung in a rush as he started getting frustrated with Heechul whatever attitude.
"So...? asked Heechul as he crossed his legs.
"So! So thats not me at all. Why would he go for me if I'm not any of those things. Not to mention that he clearly stated that he liked girls, not guys, with long wavy hair. There's no point in telling him, not when the only thing that it's going to cause is for us to be awkard around each other and the other members. I'll just try to forget my feeling for him and treat him like any other member" said Yesung.
"...No wonder your single" said Heechul, "Your not aggressive enough, you think that I was Hannie's ideal type when we first met?"asked Heechul.
Yesung shook his head. "No of course not, remember when he first came to the company, he was even more manlier than Kang-in and very straight, but do you think that stopped me, no! What's that expression, love is a battlefield, you gotta fight for the one you love. If your not Siwon's ideal type then make yourself his ideal type" said Heechul
"What!?"
"He likes smart girls, then find out what he's interested in and read up on it, he likes someone whose outgoing, then the next time the member are going to go out instead of saying no say yes and go out, or better yet next time we have a day off you suggest that we all go out."
"What about the other stuff, he likes girls, I can't exactly start wearing a bra and grow boobs, you know" said Yesung sarcastically, thinking that Heechul's idea was pretty ridiculous.
"The physical part is the easiest. He likes long wavy hair, stop staightenting out your hair every morning and get some extentions put in. Steal some lifts from the monkey's room and start talking in a low whisper, that way your voice won't sound as thick and husky.And because I'm so keen to your cause I think I'll let you borrow some of my clothes that will make you look more feminie, you won't look as good as me in them but it's better than nothing"
"But Heechul, I don't know, I feel like I'd be lying to him, shouldn't he like me for who I am?" asked Yesung.
"What~ are you stupid, no, don't you know anything about dating and getting a man. Dating is not about showing him the real you and hoping that he'll love and accept you anyways, dating is about lying and hiding who you really are until he's fallen so deep for you that when your act starts slipping and you start showing how you really are, he'll be in too deep and so in love with you that he'll tolerate how you really are"
Yesung was shocked at first by what the older boy said but quickly thought that he might be right, 'I mean why else would Hankyung still be with him, he must have made Hankyung fall so in love with him and even he tolerates Kim Heechul' thought Yesung.
"Look do you want to be his girl or do you want to continue being just another member?"asked Heechul getting a little impacient.
"I think your right, when can we start?" asked Yesung.
And Heechul gave another rotten smile at Yesung, 'This is going to be a lot of work, but this is gonna be fun'

"Yes, I know all about you and your little crush on church boy" said Heechul with his famous rotten smile as Yesung stared at him with shock.
"How- how- how'd you know?" asked Yesung after he was able to close his mouth again.
"Please, like I said, I'm Kim Heechul" he said as he sat across from Yesung, on Ryeowook's bed.
"Do- do you think anyone else knows?" asked Yesung, worrying in particular over whether one certain person knew.
"Psh...everyone is so wrapped it up with their own shit that they haven't even noticed. And no I don't think that Siwon knows." added Heechul when he saw Yesung's panicked face when he didn't mention his crushes name. "So what are you going to do about that"
"What do you mean?" asked Yesung.
"I mean don't you want to be with Siwon? You know that he kind of needs to know to make that happen"said Heechul in a snarky attitude. "Your afraid aren't you" added Heechul when he saw Yesung look at him with a crazed, terrified expression.
"Your not going to tell him are you?" asked Yesung nervously, "Please you can't tell him,"
"Why? If I just told him then, you wouldn't have to be troubled anymore, it could just be over with and who knows he might feel the same way about you too".
"He doesn't," said Yesung and continued when Heechul gave him a quizzical look, with the arch of an arch of his eyebrow, "Weren't you at the same show taping that I was at yesterday?"
"Yeah and?"
"And, Siwon said that his ideal type was someone who was smart, outgoing, down to earth, good with people and whose tall" said Yesung in a rush as he started getting frustrated with Heechul whatever attitude.
"So...? asked Heechul as he crossed his legs.
"So! So thats not me at all. Why would he go for me if I'm not any of those things. Not to mention that he clearly stated that he liked girls, not guys, with long wavy hair. There's no point in telling him, not when the only thing that it's going to cause is for us to be awkard around each other and the other members. I'll just try to forget my feeling for him and treat him like any other member" said Yesung.
"...No wonder your single" said Heechul, "Your not aggressive enough, you think that I was Hannie's ideal type when we first met?"asked Heechul.
Yesung shook his head. "No of course not, remember when he first came to the company, he was even more manlier than Kang-in and very straight, but do you think that stopped me, no! What's that expression, love is a battlefield, you gotta fight for the one you love. If your not Siwon's ideal type then make yourself his ideal type" said Heechul
"What!?"
"He likes smart girls, then find out what he's interested in and read up on it, he likes someone whose outgoing, then the next time the member are going to go out instead of saying no say yes and go out, or better yet next time we have a day off you suggest that we all go out."
"What about the other stuff, he likes girls, I can't exactly start wearing a bra and grow boobs, you know" said Yesung sarcastically, thinking that Heechul's idea was pretty ridiculous.
"The physical part is the easiest. He likes long wavy hair, stop staightenting out your hair every morning and get some extentions put in. Steal some lifts from the monkey's room and start talking in a low whisper, that way your voice won't sound as thick and husky.And because I'm so keen to your cause I think I'll let you borrow some of my clothes that will make you look more feminie, you won't look as good as me in them but it's better than nothing"
"But Heechul, I don't know, I feel like I'd be lying to him, shouldn't he like me for who I am?" asked Yesung.
"What~ are you stupid, no, don't you know anything about dating and getting a man. Dating is not about showing him the real you and hoping that he'll love and accept you anyways, dating is about lying and hiding who you really are until he's fallen so deep for you that when your act starts slipping and you start showing how you really are, he'll be in too deep and so in love with you that he'll tolerate how you really are"
Yesung was shocked at first by what the older boy said but quickly thought that he might be right, 'I mean why else would Hankyung still be with him, he must have made Hankyung fall so in love with him and even he tolerates Kim Heechul' thought Yesung.
"Look do you want to be his girl or do you want to continue being just another member?"asked Heechul getting a little impacient.
"I think your right, when can we start?" asked Yesung.
And Heechul gave another rotten smile at Yesung, 'This is going to be a lot of work, but this is gonna be fun'
