MHIP & Doctor's Office Stupidity
So, Rob picked up the Prior Authorization forms from my PCP's office. And I found out why they denied the claim. On the Prior Authorization form, there is a section titled "Other Medications/Therapies Tried And Reason(s) For Failure". My charming doctor's office left this critical section blank. This makes me angry, because I don't know if MHIP's decision is final (i.e., requiring filing a complaint to change) or if I can get my PCP's office to resubmit the forms filled out.
So, tomorrow I get to call MHIP again; and I will continue calling them every day until either they call me back or they answer their damn phone.
Also, I hate having to have my entries transcribed, though it is nice of Rob to do it for me. My left hand is getting better, but my right hand is starting to act up from overuse. So, tomorrow don't expect many livejournal entries from me.
