The Romance of My Life
I know I sometimes gush about my latest character crush (current one being Robin and Guy from BBC Robin Hood), and I know that Rob and I don't have a stereotypical fairytale romance: I don't swoon in his arms, he doesn't take me in his arms and shower me with kisses.
But what I have... is BETTER.
In the past 3 years, Rob has spent $25,892 on my medical expenses. And those are ONLY the tax-deductible ones. $25 THOUSAND dollars. And he did it without even thinking about it, because to Rob, medical expenses for me are not up for discussion. He continues to do it, currently shelling out $1,500ish for my Enbrel while I'm in Medicare's Coverage Gap, without making me feel the least bit guilty about it.
So, yes: what I have is better: I have a husband who loves me and is willing to spend that kind of money on my medical needs without holding it over my head or making me feel guilty about it.
