You'll never get a wish from a bone.

It's been a busy week.

This whole balancing of school and work has been a lot harder than I thought but I am adjusting well. I have pretty much the same classes as last semester and with the same people so that's good-- it's always better to be able to make jokes and have peoiple laugh at them than stare at you quizically wondering whether you're serious or not, which was what I was faced with the first time around. But I still have wednesdays and thursdays off of work and, even though I work saturdays and sundays those are the days I don't have classes so that balances out.

You know what's totally fucking awesome? I get paid tomorrow. Yes. I'm way more excited about it than I should be, mainly because I just know I'm gonna hit every single music store in town to satisfy my compulsive music buying needs. It's also gonna be awesome to have money so I can take Mariana out on a dinner date I promised (actually, lost a bet on) a loooooong while back, and I hear Clerks 2 is actually opening soon here so I'm definitely gonna hit that as well. Other than that, I know I have to buy new strings for my guitar and buy a new discman. Maybe hit a couple bookstores, rent a bunch of movies, get some new clothes. It's great to have money-- actual product of my hard work-- you can just fucking spend on anything and not have to worry about paying the rent or whatever. First time I've ever experienced it.

Speaking of my hard work, the other day I got a call from a guy called Jack White. I thought that was pretty cool. Other than that, work has been... well... a lot of work. We've been seemingly endlessly buried in queued calls. I don't know what's going on. There used to be days I had ten, fifteen, twenty minutes between calls. Now I'm struggling to keep up with them. Which has its pros and its cons. On one hand, time goes by a lot faster when you jump from one call right to the other and you actually end the day feeling like you worked and not just sat on your ass for six hours. On the other hand... fuck, man, it's too many fucking calls. I'm not done filling up the information in one Service Ticket when I get another call rush in from a customer who's fucking mad as hell because he's been on hold for forty minutes. And it's been that way for the past week. I don't know if there's some type of virus going around or if it's at all related with the win32 error I mentioned in my previous entry, but there's something going on that's telling these people their modems are not working (when they actually are).

The weekend had me waking up saturday morning after a completely undramatic breakup with Susy the night before (told you) and going to the immigration offices to pick up my residency papers and getting lost on the way there and back. That was a good hour and a half of wandering around but it was okay because on the way back I found an awesome book store that I am totally gonna hit tomorrow. Anyway, later on I went to Mariana's house for lunch and watching South Park episodes on Youtube. Then work (6 hours) and then at night my friend Fer's birthday party over at his place. I had to take a one hour bus ride over there and I got off on the wrong stop, which had me walking twenty blocks to where it actually was but it was cool because the weather was nice (I'm clinging on to these last few days of winter and enjoying them for all they're worth) and also because I saw this girl:

walking down the street in a big fur coat. Granted, she wasn't wearing purple lingerie or holding a purple cake, but I'm pretty sure it was her alright. Either her or somebody who looked exactly like her. She was way shorter than I thought she would be, and it's always a bit off-putting when you see somebody who's plastered all over billboards all across the city stand just a few feet from you. Even though they don't notice you or anything. I should've said hi or something, but I was suddenly overcome with shyness. Anyway, enough about that.

Got to Fer's house, had a pretty fucking excellent time there with fernet and a bunch of other people from school and new people as well. Mariana was supposed to come too but the bus trip was a bit longer than she could bear. One of our friends fell out of a second story window after urinating out of it, which I really should've seen coming. Somebody brought over some ska mix CD and we listened to Hepcat and a bunch of different bands from Venezuela which were a lot better than I expected. A very boneheaded good time was had by all, and sunday passed rather quickly in an equally inebriated stupor.

The whole week's been building up towards my big payday tomorrow and these last few days of work, hard as they have been, have found me more and more confident in my qualifications as a tech support agent (even if due to a slight messup my first Quality Feedback wasn't the best-- but that's what you're bound to get when they review some random call and you have really bad luck like me). All has been good.

By the way, I just finally heard that Justin Timberlake song "Sexy Back". What a piece of shit. And don't you fucking come tell me "naaaawww JT actually has talent" because that's bullshit. A high pitched voice and third-rate cheesy dance moves a talented performer does not make. If you want good, cheesy, danceable music to snort coke to, that's what the whole "disco" genre spawned from. Fuck you Justin, I hate your fucking whiney ass, you fucking fuck. Fuck you to hell.

Also, Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy and Brand New are the worst fucking bands out there today. I hope they get pelted hard with a million bottles and they die.
