Saw Guardians of the Galaxy yesterday with Anthony and I really can't recommend it enough. Neither of us know anything about the comic books and we didn't need to to enjoy the film, though I'm sure there's plenty of in-jokes in the film for those that do know the comics. Chris Pratt is a really terrific lead and in fact, everyone plays their part really well. I was particularly impressed by Dave Bautista who plays Drax, he's a wrestler and this is his first really big acting role and he just nails it and of course is great at the physical stuff. Neither Anthony or I are big fans of his wrestling work but as Drax, he was a real star. All the Guardians are and I'm already eager to see what fic works come out of this film. Is it original? Not particularly, but boy is it fun, it's a rush of pure joy and it's all done vividly and brilliantly. Seriously, check it out.

Also I have two job interviews tomorrow, both for admin NHS jobs up at the hospital. I've tried to prepare and at least mentally stack up my prepared answers and examples I can use. I'm terribly nervous but know that I will be okay. I did well enough to get to the interview stage, that's important remember. I can do this, I can.
