The good, the bad, and the delicious

Parents came to see the new flat for the first time yesterday. It was very lovely to see them, to chat and have fun and generally enjoy each other's company. I know I'm lucky in that I enjoy spending time with my Mum and Dad. As Anthony says, he often would rather spend time with them than with his own parents. So I'm blessed and I wish I could see

I'm glad you had such a lovely visit with your parents! The fridge cake looks delicious, so I'd say that your first baking experiment in your new flat was a huge success, especially as the liberator of fridge cakes was on hand to free the cake from its tin. ;-)

I'm sorry you'll have to work longer hours starting tomorrow (and deal more with Dr F), but it's great that you're focusing on the positive. I hope you get a lot of writing done and the overtime pay comes in useful. :-)

Heehee, Anthony does enjoy being a fridge cake liberator, especially as the cake itself is a reward.

God willing, the long hours won't be too taxing in this heat or too overloaded with encounters with Dr F. I saw her today and things went well when we interacted. Long may that continue!
