Let joy be unconfined, the internet is upon us!
We have the internet! Hurrah! Honestly, it's very odd being online after three weeks without it. But here we are, catching up on videos and chatting to folk. It's kinda giddying. The routed arrived late last night and the engineer came today, rushed up the nearby phone pole, drilled a hole in our wall, and then getting the line in for us. Once Anthony was home, we managed to get everything plugged in and my, the signal is strong. It's a real novalty to be able to watch videos on my machine again :) Previously, I had to watch them on Anthony's laptop. I can only hope it continues and that I don't get so distracted by the shiny stories and videos that I neglect my writing. I actually coped without the internet better than I expected, which goes to show (again) that I've gotta stop getting so worked up about stuff. It's never as bad as I think it'll be.
It was a weird night last night. I heard disturbing scratching scuttling noises in our room, like some rodenty animal was dragging things about. It totally unnerved me and had me awake for hours. I woke Anthony up in my paranoia and he checked the flat for me but found nothing. Really odd. Maybe there's something in the walls? I've not heard those noises before. Very unnerving. I hope I get more sleep tonight, as I have a rather nasty headache *winces*. Apart from that, everything's fine lol.
