LJ was down for me yesterday...
i intended to post an entry yesterday right after i've completed the work piece stated on the previous entry, however, i was not able to connect to LJ thus postponed the entry till today... =)
just so you know, i've completed what i told myself to and i am proud of that...even though this piece isn't my favorite but am proud that i managed to complete it nonetheless... =D
same old same old; i've created my process for y'all to see... =)
don't want to bore you now, so i'll talk more about my process later... XD
questions, comments, thoughts, concerns...
alrighties~ as you can see, i still have the bad habit of leaving the environment/background to the last...may not be that good but, hey, it's the way i work...will try to get rid out this habit; i will have to sort out my issues with drawing background... XD
initially, i wanted the setting to be at night but it turned out that daylight seemed to be able to bring out more atmosphere... XD haha...
i just realized that the flat horizon/ grass line is just very irritating so i will be going back to edit it...gonna get more strokes done to imply grass... =)
however much i did not enjoy this piece, i must say i had fun with the shading...strange as that sound because shading is really one very frustrating thing; gotta take muscle forms into account and stuff... XD

ok, before i go onto another of my personal works, one of my friends has given me a task; i have to help him create 5 characters for his novel...
he has given me rough references and guides as to how he wants one of the characters to look...i've yet to really look at it...i wanted to finish this entry before plunging myself into the given task... =)
all i know for now is that the 5 characters are:
- mage
- mercenary
- knight
- demon hunter
- special dude? (i'm just quoting him... XD)
and he wants them all to be manga/anime styled... O_O
i've pretty much gone away from that style for some time so it'd be of a level of challenge to be falling back into that zone...
plus i've always been more comfortable with drawing females so this challenge of having to draw all 5 of them as males has just been upped... XD haha...
but nonetheless, i will do my best to hit his expectations... =D
for now, i shall take my leave... =)
