Woven from threads of days past
Insubstantial as a dream
Images of things come and gone
As real as you wish them to be
Sometimes they're all
Any of us ever have
One of the things in life
That ever truly last
Stored forever inside you heart
And viewed with your mind's eye
Fond remembrances and pictures
Of people and days gone by
A comfort when you're alone
They'll get you through the night
They ease the pain that life brings
And make you feel all right
When life threatens to fall apart
They help you hold life together
Some things last for just awhile
But memories last forever
Friends
I was there when you needed me
Now you're here when I need you
The world is full of fair-weather friends
But good and loyal friend are few
We've shared many good laughs
And we've shared quite a few tears
But we came through everything together
For together we have nothing to fear
We've had some very good times
And we've endured a few bad
We share each other's happiness
And comfort each other when we're sad
No matter what life has put us through
We've always remained very close
We're ready to stand up for each other
Perhaps this is what matters most
I know that our friendship will last
