With his granddaughter in his arms, Roy couldn't help but grin smugly at all the people he passed, taking the time to explain that yes, this was his grandchild Viola, and yes, he was very proud of his son and his daughter-in-law

Viola laughed and tugged at the shiny buttons on Roy's uniform, reveling in being shown off.

Havoc leaned back in his chair and regarded the girl thoughtfully. "She doesn't look much like you, boss."

Roy scowled at Havoc for a moment and seriously considered docking his pay before Viola's hands on his uniform distracted him, and he grinned down at the little girl. "She certainly doesn't look like her other grandfather, so I consider it my win."

Breda came forward to look down at Viola before cracking his own grin. "I dunno, I can sort of see the connection."

Havoc regarded Viola carefully for a moment. "Her eyes look awful familiar, though," he said, pointing at the girl's wide, golden eyes.

"Do they?" Roy asked, suppressing another grin. "Well, you'll be meeting her mother soon enough. You'll have to bring that up with her."

Roy returned her grin and squeezed her shoulder. "While I do agree that you've traded up when it comes to names, your father is still your father." Quietly, he added, "If you'd rather not, I can explain things for you."

Rosaline pulled Viola tighter against her chest. "So I guess you guys knew my dad, huh?," she asked the men.

Breda glanced at Roy and frowned slightly when the other man nodded. "So... you're really his kid, huh?" He glanced at Havoc and grinned. "Pretty smooth of him, to pull that off before- hell." He looked back at Rosaline and sighed. "Sorry about that. Your dad was a good guy."

Rosaline cocked and eyebrow at Roy. "They still think he's-"

"So does that mean your mom is that mechanic of his?," Havoc asked bluntly, "I always knew those two were messing around with each other."

"You don't say. Well, I guess it really was young love." Breda said, and glanced back at Fuery. "I'm glad I didn't take that bet now."

Distracted as he was by the little girl, Fuery didn't hear either of the comments the other men made.

Havoc grumbled and crossed his arms over his chest. "Great, guess I still owe Fuery that money. Say, how many kids did he have? I could still win that one."

"Four- no, five," Rosaline said quietly, "One was stillborn."

Again Roy reached out to put his hand on Rosaline's shoulder, and gave the men a pointed look.

"Crazy," Breda said, wisely avoiding Rosaline's comment about the stillborn child. "Who knew Fullmetal would breed like rabbit."

Rosaline blushed at that remark. "I'll tell him you said that..."

Viola pouted up at Fuery when she finished the candy, holding her hand out for more.

Roy grinned down at the two cockily. "Well, what do you think? Is she not the best grandchild you've ever seen?"

"Sure, boss," Breda said, grinning over at Havoc.

Riza stepped into the office, a stack of papers in her hands, and sighed when she saw Viola's red, tear streaked face. "Someone gave her candy, didn't they?," she asked.

Fuery looked up at Riza helplessly. "I didn't know! I was just trying to be nice!"

Riza walked over and set the papers down before reaching up to ruffle Viola's hair fondly. "She's greedy, isn't she?," she asked Rosaline.

Maes made his way into the office and grinned when he saw Rosaline. "There you are," he said, coming over to kiss her cheek. "Did you get a tour of the place?"

Rosaline smiled back and was about to answer when Viola looked up at Maes and shouted, "Daddy!"

Maes leaned down and kissed Viola's forehead, too. "I take it she's been having fun."

"She threw a little fit earlier over some candy," Rosaline said, passing Viola to him.
