Between whinging on about production of Criminal Element and the life that I'm slowly losing to work, I do the occasional cool thing. Sometimes I get together with my friends and hang out. Sometimes I go see a cool-looking movie. And sometimes I learn something new... like how to make sushi.
I apologize for the blurriness of the photo. My new camera/futurephone is something that I still need to adjust to. The above is a fairly standard vegetarian maki on the left with avocado, cucumber and peppers, while on the right you have a salmon sashimi with avocado. My girlfriend likes avocado, what can I say.
In any case, I can make sushi. It's not the best sushi ever made. I'm still learning some things, like how much rice I should put on the nori before I roll it. But I have not only made sushi, but I've eaten my own sushi and can report that it is tasty. Others have also eaten it and have reacted to said sushi in a very positive way.
I'm thinking that my next Tuesday Night Gaming session will be celebrated with copious amounts of home-made sushi. And if any of you guys would like some as well, I really don't need much of an excuse. The stuff is too much fun to make.
