HELP!!! iTunes m4a + Android = SUCK!

Jan 08, 2012 21:46

Anybody got any advice for getting Apple lossless .m4a music files to play on an Android (specifically a Samsung Galaxy II S Epic Touch)? Almost my entire iTunes collection consists of unprotected (non-DRM) .m4a files and forestmaster's Android doesn't want to play them despite their literature saying that the phone supports m4a files. MP3 files from my collection do work, so file transfer issues and that sort of thing apparently are not an issue. We have tried MusicPlayer, doubleTwist and MixZing and all of them produce a message saying unsupported format and will not play them. The files all play fine on my Mac and my iPhone so the files themselves are fine. The files do have the track names, but not the artist info, which is apparently typical on Androids playing m4a's without the MediaFix app, but most people get them to at least play. Any ideas?

EDIT: 10Jan2011: Thanks to beknatok, we tested the Android app, PowerAmp, with success. :)
