(no subject)
So my fourth was pretty kool. Went home and spent time with both my family and my "family" i.e. spending the 3rd of July with Merg's family and shooting off fireworks with them. It was rather kool and relaxing and I had fun. Though I would've appreciated it more if more people came to my Uncle Al's (my godfather, and practically like a second father to me) 4th of July party considering that out of all the people very few of my aunts and uncles showed up (like 3 out of the total 12 on my mom's side) and NONE of my cousins showed up 'cept my cousin Jen (and her cute 3 year old son Dante, who looked adorable with his little swimmies in the pool), but that's because she's my Uncles' step daughter and she lives there so I mean it's understandable why she was there. It kinda sucks
Kinda have mixed feelings about going to New York this weekend. Now dont' get me wrong I'm totally pumped to see Carson and her shows. I'm just kinda nervous because I got so much freaking work to do that I know I should be staying home and doing homework. But I know I should go (cuz Carson would murder me if I didn't) But I mean it should be fun regardless, and I mean it is like what a 5 hour car ride so that's a good amount of time to get work done. At least that's what I think. Plus the ride back I get to chill with two of my best friends (Sa is going too yay!!) So while I am sacrifising time to do work, I think it should be well worth it, in my opinon.
Oh and Gurren Lagan got lisencesed which is no suprise by me. But it made me kinda giddy cuz it lisencesed by ADV which btw, is my favorite anime dub company, and the people that basically got me into anime. In addition to that it was announced that Devil May Cry, which I think just aired their like 3rd or 4th episode, is also being lisencesed by ADV. I honestly think that's probably the quickest an anime has ever been lisencesed. But then again it IS DMC, which the games were a smash hit over here, so it doesn't suprise me that there's such a high demand for it. And Darker than Black (my icon is the main charrie from that anime) got lisencesed by Funimation which I'm sure they will do a good job, I'm pissed because now Shinsen subs, the place I got my subbing from, has dropped it cuz that's what they do when an anime get's lisencesed. :sigh:
And :squeel: Connecticon is almost a week away :squeels again: I honestly am so freaking pumped. Plus I got over a hundred dollars for my birthday, so I have room to go a little nuts. I thought I wanted to save some of it for when Bleach: Memories of Nobody comes to dvd (and get the special edition) but then I thought that doesn't come out till September so I got plenty of time to scrounge up some money before then. I'm curious as to whether they might be selling any Gurren-Lagan stuff. Who knows, I saw there was some kool figurines from G-L online today. All that I know is that my room is in desperate need of posterage, and good posterage at that.
But overall, things are shaping up, and while I have a jam packed July coming up, it should be totally fun, and totally worth while.
Alright off to do my Japanese homework, since I do have a test tomorrow that I have to continue studying for.
