Apr 14, 2007 15:19

HELLO AGAIN to everyone who came around or found the way to our small mp3 rotation page~
It's time for rotation #14!!

This time I was a lazy slob.... I realized on Thursday that I had nothing done for this rotation, but I just started making something for it on Friday.... what means that... I totally run out of time!! x___X [I usually begin making the rotation on Monday...] And besides I forgot to inform kagechii what theme I chose and to send her links to songs she still had to listen to....
T_T *feels ashamed*

I really don't have that much to say this time...
Nothing happen and so... let's just get this rotation started ^-^
Please enjoy our music for these two weeks and leave a nice comment, if you should take something, like what you hear/read/see or just wanna tell us how goddamn awesome we are!! :DD *disappears to nowhere again*

THEME~
And our next randomly-picked theme IS: UNDER THE MOON!!

ONE

Artist: Miyavi
Song: Kimi ni Negai wo
4.26 MB // 4:38 min // 10/10
kagechii says: I know I’ve already put up the video for this song, but I can’t help it! I love this song, I could listen to this song all day, any day! Especially when there’s a full moon, gahurk! X) When I think of a full moon, it’s either calming and peaceful or super spooky and creepy, depending on the time of year and the weather. Kimi ni Negai wo reminds me of a peaceful full moon, even though technically it’s about stars, but hey, there are stars in the sky when there’s a full moon too. :P The music is brilliant, a wonderful blend of the acoustic guitar, piano, the drums, and classical stringed instruments and Miyavi’s voice is just amazing.
When I wish upon you

TWO

Artist: ELLEGARDEN
Song: Oyasumi
3,91MB // 4:10 min // 10/10
in_monochrome says: I don't know why, but this reminds me of a full moon night. When I listen to this I always imagine the band to play on a roof of a house and the vocalist is sitting there and singing in the moonlight :D Oyasumi is a calm song (for this band) with a beautiful chorus and a very simple composition. One of these songs I could listen to the whole night. Not to mention how utterly pretty his voice sounds during the whole song. And Ellegardens drum beats always make me fall in love with this band over and over again...
Sayonara, Oyasumi, mata ashita sore ja ne~

THREE

Artist: Kagrra,
Song: Majinai
4.61 MB // 3:21 min // 9/10
kagechii says: And on the other side of the spectrum, the creepy kind of full moon song. |D Sort of, not really, but the point is that you could find me listening to this when a full moon is out, so it goes with the theme! Isshi sounds a bit odd in this because of the effects that were layered on in the studio in some parts and I’m more used to their recent releases, but it still has that Kagrra, feel, with the traditional Japanese music influence with a modern twist of electric guitars added in. That’s probably the best way I can describe their style at the moment. XD;
Download! ^^

FOUR

Artist: Kotani Kinya
Song: Anti Nostalgic
5,8MB // 4:16 min // 9/10
Comment:
in_monochrome says: It's KOTANI!! 8D *goes and hides under her leaf* Yes, it's an anime siong again.... It's from Gravitation and was played in one episode. I fell in love with this song immediately, because it's so different to all the other songs from the whole soundtracks. Kotanis voice sounds so much better just with accoustic guitars... u__u; This song is also very simple, but it's such a beautiful, yet very melancholic piece. And OMG!! Shuichi has pink hair just like -------- 8D *shot*

[[in_monochrome's PICKS]]

1]]

Artist: Alice Nine
Song: Akatsuki
4,8MB // 3:32min // 9/10
Comment: If you know me, you know that I don't like Alice Nine that much. Basically because of Shous voice. This is probably the only song where I like his voice XD I like the beginning that sometimes repeats further in the song. It turns out to be a really catchy song. And I really like the chorus!! And the bridge and guitar-solo are so pretty! x3 Is it just me or is it better to hear Alice Nine loud? The louder I hear them the more I like the music... oO;
Once more a PSC artist! XD

2]]

Artist: Alice Nine
Clip: ZY 28 Preview
6,81MB // 0:54min // 9/10
Comment: This is just a preview of a photoshoot (and probably the only clip I have from Alice Nine...>_>) So...? What's in here? Some really pretty boys, looking even more pretty than they actually should and messing up girls minds XD That's all. But it's enough.
Click for some hotness.

Artist: Head Phone Presidents
Song: Sacrificed
4,7MB // 5:08min // 10/10
Comment: Just because I LOVE them!! D: Quote. Hard and heavy and still the best Japanese metal band in my opinion. Their songs have a dark rhythm and this one just pulls you into a mealstrom of despair. AWESOME!! How I love badriffs <3 And she sings in this, till she totally loses contol! The anger is just breath-taking. But she never falls into screaming completely like in most of their other songs. Her English is bad as always, but don't blame her for it - she's not the only one -.- The background is filled with strange noises, like her voice distorted and that 'ping-pong' like from a train coming with what the song starts and sometimes repeats within. Sacrificed is catchy in a very evil way. Don't underestimate this, the further the song goes the better it gets~ :3
Fuck, it's too late!!

4]]

Artist: Kirito
Song: Cold
5.29 MB // 3:51 min // 10/10
Comments: It’s probably super obvious by now that I love Kirito’s voice. XD With all the songs with him singing in them I’ve put up, I think only a new visitor wouldn’t be able to see that until they dig through previous rotations. I don’t think I’ve put up anything from his solo works yet though, of course I could be wrong since I haven’t updated my playlist for a month (I really need to do that soon). This is fairly new, from Kirito’s most recent single release Cherry trees. I’ve noticed that I tend to enjoy the second song of two song single releases more than the title track. XD Cold is no exception, this song has been on repeat ever since I first heard it, nothing drastically different from his other compositions in Pierrot and Angelo, but I love his style so no complaints. ^^ The little electronic distortion with the intro vocals and wonderful music, I just wish artists would stop with the ‘two songs only’ singles. x_x; At least one more song please!
A song to cool you off in the summer?

5]]

Artist: Megamasso
Song: BULLET SONG
3.22 MB // 3:31 min // 9/10
Comments: I don’t really know too much about Megamasso, aside from that it’s the new band of Ryohei, formerly the leader of Ayabie, another band I know pretty much nothing about. *face-palm* Anyway, I just listened to their Yuki Shitatari Hoshi album and decided to pick this song to share, not my favorite, but I thought the title was funny. XD I don’t know why, but this song reminds me of an anime theme song for one of those spacey-like animes, the ones that have all that technology stuffs. Just the style and sound of the music (I think I hear something like an electronic organ, ‘course I just could be delusional, as usual o_o;) and how the vocalist sings, I really think this could be used for an anime theme song...or DDR. XDD; *shot* Actually, this isn’t the only song on the album that gives me that impression, but either way, it’s pretty catchy.
I was kidding about the DDR...sort of

6]]

Artist: MUCC
Song: Kinsenka
6.27 MB // 4:33 min // 10/10
Comments: This version’s off MUCC’s Psychedelic Analysis album soo it is a live recording of the song and it.is.AMAZING! 8D I’d never heard a MUCC live performance before this and after listening to the whole album, I want to see MUCC live! *o* Or at least buy a concert DVD (if I had the goddamn money!), American concerts sound scary with the mosh-pits. XD; I already liked the studio recording of Kinsenka and the live version is just as good! *_* Studio recordings have all this mixing and technical stuff stuck in to help a song sound great, but it’s also important to sound good live. It’s disappointing if live performances don’t really live up to the studio tracks. :( Fortunately, live MUCC sounds so great that you don’t even need to watch them to enjoy their live performances (though I’m sure that helps XD) plus live albums are nice for the poor and easily-distracted-by-visuals fans like me.
Hearing an audience you can’t see adds an interesting touch to songs XD

7]]

Artist: The Candy Spooky Theater
Song: Merry Go Round
4.78 MB // 3:29 min // 8/10
Comments: Is not Halloween, but who cares, crazy carnival music is awesome any time of the year, especially when it’s by The Candy Spooky Theater! ^^ Okay so their music technically probably isn’t crazy carnival music, but that’s the first thing that pops into my head when I listen to most of their songs. XD; It’s so fun and whacky with all the distortions, in the music (I know I hear an organ in this one! >O) and the vocalist’s voice, I wonder how this would sound live. =O
Shalalalalalalala sing a song~

REQUESTS!

8]]

Artist: PIERROT
Song: Neo Grotesque
4,60MB // 5:01min // 9/10
Requested by: akira_hana
Comment:
kagechii says: More of Kirito, this time with Pierrot! ^^ Neo Grotesque shows off Kirito’s more growly and rough style of singing, with some other strange vocal noises in the background of the chorus. This song’s one of Pierrot’s heavier songs, the higher pitched guitars and constant drum beats, and, as awesome as it is, Neo Grotesque almost gives me a headache on bad days. @@; Or maybe that’s just my brother. Btw, my file’s labeled as Neogrotesque since that’s how my media player labeled it when I ripped the songs.
in_monochrome says: Oh! :D My first Pierrot song! I absolutely hated this band at the beginning! XD I couldn't take the music nor Kiritos voice. I got used to it. I wouldn't say that I'm a fan, but I like the music now :) Kirito is pretty much croaking in here. And I forgot what I wanted to say about this song..... x___x
Very grotesque oO'

9]]

Artist: Girugamesh
Song: Deceived Mad Pain
5,3MB // 3:54min // 9/10
Requested by: akira_hana
Comment:
kagechii says: The intro and overall musical composition sounds a little chaotic and disorganized, but it has its appeal. And the vocalist’s gruff singing, especially when growling out ‘Deceived Mad Pain’, is interesting too, but I got introduced to this group with their cover of Glamorous Sky so I actually prefer it when he actually sings than growling and screaming. ^^;
in_monochrome says: Ahhh~ Deceived Mad Pain. Heavy, metal and good. I like the way he growls, though I actually dislike growling (That says a Dir en grey fan!! XDDD; *face palm*), but Satoshis voice and the mix of a rough bassline, hard guitar-riffs and the pressed screaming.... that's just perfect. And I fall for this song every time again. And the line "Deceived Mad Pain!!" just gets stuck in your head! RRAWR~
For heavens sake! It's Girugamesh! x3

10]]

Artist: AYA
Song: Miss Rock & Roll
10MB // 4:22min // 10/10
Requested by: Anonymous
Comment:
in_monochrome says: Hey~ AYA again! This so is just Rrrrr~ <3 (That means is so freaking hot and delicious that you wanna eat it! XD) It's Aya, come on! She has the right voice and her songs are always rocky and good! I don't need more promoting. The "Rrrr~" should speak for itself ;D
kagechii says: My eye kind of twitched when I saw this title because recently I heard somebody singing (more like screeching) a god awful rendition of a song by, if I’m not mistaken, Britney Spears *shudders* that had ‘rock and roll’ somewhere in the lyrics. x_x; *kicked* But this is soooo much better! Again, still not used to AYA’s voice, but the growly quality in this song makes it more interesting. *kicked again* And a guitar solo! :D Just shoot me now before I make an even bigger fool of myself. XD
Yes, I will. Every single day~

Artist: AYA
Song: Medi (or May Day)
3,3MB // 3:37min // 10/10
Requested by: Anonymous
Comment:
in_monochrome says: Another brilliant AYA song *-* This one is more melodic and mellow. It's more floating... I think that's the right word. It has a slight summer feeling and beautiful accoustic guitars. Utterly beautiful lyrics too by the way :3 I could keep this on repeat whole day long...
kagechii says: Hm, I like this. :D The music’s nicely arranged and it sounds like she’s singing English in this, at least I recognize that in some parts, although if she’s not, my bad. The music and her voice seem to fit together really well in this song, although AYA’s voice still has that strange sound to it that I need to get used to. ^^;
Bye bye, big baby. It's too late, but I wanna say...

Artist: ZWEI
Song: Watashika no Uta
4,9KB // 3:36min // 9/10
Requested by: Anonymous
Comment:
kagechii says: Still getting used to female vocalists, but this time around isn’t so bad, I rather like the requested songs. This one’s probably my favorite of the three requests with female vocalist(s). *hides from AYA fans* I’m rather brainless at the moment though, so I’ll probably just edit this comment later…or leave it as and once again leave the advertising of female vocalists to Anni-chan. *scitters off*
in_monochrome says: It starts slow, but don't get confused.... it's always changing between slow and fast. More pop-rockish I'd say. It's a pretty good song, normal, but with a great arrangement. Nothing more to add here :)
WATASHI ja nai WATASHI wo kai narashite.

Okay, guys~ that's our music for this time.

"Gagabübü~ 8D" (Okay... really guys... who else besides me thinks I should finally stop this shit?! XD)

Please leave a comment, if you take something~!! :3

See you in two weeks Space Cowboys~ ;D
