That bear that is everywhere in Japan...well almost... It's freakin' cute. Looks just like my bear that I got from that Bearmaking "gimmick" shop. I would take a pic but it's all raggedy from being slept on. XD
I haven't been updating much but I still want to wish everyone a happy new years anyways! :D
Nothing much has happened but I got to go home over the winter break to visit my family. It was nice seeing them again and I must have gained 10lbs. from all the good food my dad made and lounging around the house. :D (Gah, I miss my dad's home cookin'...) Anyways, I got to go see the new
H&M store. I really don't know what the hype is. I guess I am spoiled by the
Zara store down here in South Coast. I wouldn't compare it to Forever-whore 21 though. The quality is better, not great, but good but the styles are fresh, I guess, and way away from American casual. I like the semi-Euro look. I also admire the cut and pattern lines too. (I was secretly studying how the pieces were made...:P) The prices were awesome and on top of that there was a sale! But I swear, if I see another girl in those UGG boots and denim mini skirt with those puff jackets, I am seriously gonna run her over with my roller skates. :(
Movin' right along, I bought some Japanese crafty books at Nihon Machi. I wanted to get the "
Darling Blythe" book but I guess I went hunting too early for it and they didn't have Dolly Dolly 8... We stopped in at Super7 store. It's like a Giant Robot clone but will all the cool vintagey Godzilla toys (not like I am a collector... >_>) I also ate the worst Yosenabe too at this supposedly good Japanese restaurant called Kushi Tsuru.
I also went to Haight and Ashbury...!! There is this jewelry store there called So Good Jewelry and it has the most amazing selection of bead jewelry as well as the regular kind. The prices are average. Not expensive but not cheap either. I also went to Giant Robot (see above). Same ole' kind of store that sells expensive artsy t-shirts, toys, and art books etc.
Oh yeah, I also watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and the Chronicles of Narnia. I definitely like HPGoF befter than CoN.
As you can read, I really didn't even do much. I even stayed home on NYE. I hope everyone had fun on their NYEs and also, take your vitamins! I got back to work yesterday to 3 sick co-workers. o.o
