Last month, while working on the icon_library Layout, I was listening to Panic! at the Disco and (because I haven't been in fandom for years) wondered if there's a new album. So I checked Wikipedia and saw that Pray for the Wicked has been out for a month. After some testlistening I downloaded the album. IT WAS SO NICE NOT TO BE DISAPPOINTED BY THE RECENT OUTPUT OF A FAVORITE BAND! Okay, I really hate the trend of using chopped up, distorted voices as an instrument and I really miss the rock element (Was there even once an e-guitar?). But otherwise I really like this album!
And yesterday Muse put out a new song. Again it was a disappointment. My biggest problem is the way Matt is singing. "I honestly feel like Matt's vocals have been the biggest thing ruining all 3 of these songs. I can't handle the groany, moany, whispery creeper vocals." as one board Muser put it. The lyrics are cringey again, but at least it's musically inoffensive. But would it kill them to make proper rock songs again?!
