i smell like eucaylptus, spearmint, and mango
it's friday morning and i feel like i'm getting a cold. slight body aches, small fevers, and a swollen throat? funnn. i really wish the arden's garden shipment would get in already so i could drink some complete recovery! that stuff usually helps knock out any coldish feelings. c'mon, delivery truck!!
last night was the first time james and i actually ate a meal together in the last week - he picked me up from work on my break and we had dinner at olive bistro (mmm gyro!). as opposed to getting off early last night like i was supposed to for coming in early or staying late when needed lately, i got off late last night. then i had to get up at o'dark-thirty to be at work at 5am this morning. suffice it to say i was a little late.
all week i've had a weird schedule. i was off monday, then instead of working at the shop tuesday, switched it around to babysit (took two little boys to the zoo and then to see chicken little - oh, adventure!), and then wednesday and thursday i worked the 2-10 shift, staying late both evenings and coming in for an hour each mornings. thank god, it's finally friday, *pay day*, and i get off at 2pm. of course, tomorrow i have to open again, and i'm more than likely going to have to work at some point on sunday, too (that's right, i'm working on BOTH of james' off days). as for today, as soon as i get off work, i plan on cashing my check and getting a pedicure and manicure. i need it, and who doesn't love someone else pampering them? who knows what else i'll do today (at some point i'll definitely be watching the veronica mars episode james taped for me from wednesday -- my favorite lesbian model guest stars!!-- but i'll probably wait til james gets home), but tomorrow after i get off work i'm getting a massage, so that's something to look forward to. now if only i could manage to get my hair done this weekend, that would be truly awesome. my god, this color looks so rough.
dear cold weather,
thanks a lot for sucking all the moisture out of my body. now i have to carry around lotion, hand cream, AND moisturizing hair serum. and if all that isn't enough, i now have to keep my burt's bees in my apron, on me at all times. seriously, thanks a lot.
