There are a couple of local papers in my area that sometimes have interesting messages on the billboards they put up outside newsagents' shops. The Islington Gazette always chooses the grisliest local crime - "Carol Singers Find Man Hanged" was their Christmas offering a few years ago, but the Ham and High (Hampstead and Highgate Express), while usually less exciting, ocasionally has a classic. This week's offering read "Overweight Police Won't Be Hypnotised". I don't want to know the story - I would much rather leave it a mystery.
