My first physio appointment as an outpatient yesterday. For some reason, the outpatient physiotherapy team are very much nicer than the ones you see when you are in hospital, so although I went armed with various rather whiney excuses for why I wasn't more bendy, and found that I didn't need any of them. Anna, the physio I saw, was lovely, and seemed to think that I was doing quite well, despite being a bit behind overall because of the slow healing of he wound. She did startle me a bit by looking at the wound and saying "Oh, is this big going green?", but as far as I can see it isn't, so I'm not too worried. So I have a full list of knee-bending exercises to do, and I'm feeling a bit more optimistic about the whole thing.
Meanwhile, the second god-daughter visited yesterday, and we have arranged to go to the local market on Saturday, which will be a good test of my walking skills (its only just down the road from my flat, so I can get back easily if I feel wobbly). Also, I finally completed the sunflower cot-cover, a commission from number one god-daughter for a friend of hers who had a baby in October, so not too far behind. It looks like this;
