Finished my first full week of work in months, and now I'm as tired as I usually am after a full week of doing nothing. This particular job seems to have a slight curse on it, including missing buses, broken-down cars, congealing resin, broken equipment, train strikes and minor injuries, all conspiring to screw things up. Ouch! I'm so sorry that you have this pain, but so glad that it WASN'T a couple of inches either way.

Hope the pain diminishes soon!

Thank you! It doesn't hurt too much unless I cough or laugh, but I feel a bit of a fool for not having noticed I'd cracked a bone.

Oh my gosh! I hope the painkillers help and that cracking a rib satisfies whatever malevolent spirit hovering about the site!

There really is nothing to be done for that but wait it out. Cracked ribs heal well on their own. Still....OUCH.

Manolo had a cracked rib some months ago and it took about two weeks for it to stop hurting altogether.

I'm just hoping this isn't the sort of bad luck that goes in threes! I thought they strapped up broken ribs, but apparently not. Luckily I have a good stock of knee painkillers, so I can just up the dose of them (and try not to laugh).
