The delivery I was waiting in for yesterday morning was a mattress topper for my bed, since I can't afford a whole new mattress just now. This one is "memory foam", a sort of hard foam that retains an impression for several minutes. About a year and a half ago we got a new mattress that has memory foam. We're very happy with it but you have to turn it every month one way or another (flip it over side to side, top to bottom etc.)
With a topper you do the same. When you change the bedding you flip it.
I love the feeling of being cradled.
:)
And yes, I had to get used to the height it adds to the mattress. I'm short (you know that) and now my feet don't touch the floor when I sit in the edge of the bed.

I didn't know you had to flip it - thanks! It should be much easier with a topper than with a whole mattress.

Yes, Manolo has to help me every time it needs flipping. The whole mattress weighs a TONNE! Maybe you could get your G-D to help. A 3 inch thick topper could be quite unwieldy, I'd imagine.
