Dossed about all morning, doing nothing in particular, apart from fiddling round with the look of this thing. I have a lot of interesting parcels on their way; books (Mistress Masham's Repose by T H White, The Land of Green Ginger by Noel Langly, as recommended by Neil Gaiman, and a Turkish cookbook), a selection of copper wire and sheet for my little cabinet and seeds (probably a bit late to set these, as usual); Japanese morning-glories, buffalograss so I can make my own Zubrovka vodka, sunflowers and tomatoes. None of them arrived today, though.

Late in the day, I sprang into action (sort of) and headed for the British Library, where I found a (very few) useful references for the Major Project report, and an excellent plate of cod and chips (ahem).
