Now, I promise not to ruin the movie for anyone... But I will tell you that it was, without doubt, the most visually stunning movie I've ever seen in my entire life. Bring a box of tissues with you when you see this movie--you're gonna need 'em to clean up when your eyes orgasm all over the place. Seriously.
I was originally worried that they would take something that I, and most everyone else in my generation, hold sacred, and completely fuck it up. But this movie exceeded any expectation I could have had for it. There were enough nods to the super-geek fans like me, who know every line to the original movie, to keep us all satisfied. The action was mind-exploding enough to make the non-fans who tagged along with their geek buddies clap at every fight scene. This movie just kicks ass. So, so much ass. There aren't enough people in China to supply the ass that this movie kicks.
I'm just worried that all the movies I wanted to see this summer are going to end up being boring for me, now that this movie has set the bar. I plan on seeing the new Harry Potter movie the weekend after my b-day, but I just don't think it'll hold a candle to Transformers...
