I Metriculated!!!
After 45 cumulative hours at *State Name Left Blank* Bartending Academy, I am now a certified Mixologist! Now I just need a job...
Meh, the hunt can wait until next week. This weekend, I plan on getting back into my Japanese studying. The JLPT is coming up in a few weeks, and I am WOEFULLY behind in my kanji. Hopefully my brain is stuck in "instant memorization" mode from these past couple weeks. I didn't think I'd be able to pull off learning over 200 drink recipes in two weeks, but it was surprisingly easy. I barely ever had to go over a recipe more than twice to completely assimilate it. I'm just anxious to get out there and make some REAL drinks. The bartending school used colored water, so the drinks LOOKED right but I have no idea as to whether they TASTE right. I suppose I'll find out once I get a job... Or some liqour... Whichever comes first, lol.
I think I'll start a little tradition now... ^_^
DRINK RECIPE OF THE DAY:
"DREAMSICLE"
-Fill Hi-ball glass with ice
-1 oz. #43 Liqueur (or other Vanilla Liqueur)
-1/2 oz. Triple Sec
-Fill with equal parts O.J. and Half & Half (whole milk will work as well)
-Place small shaker tin over glass and shake
This should taste just like those orange popsicles with the vanilla ice cream in the middle ^_^
And remember, kids: Drinking is only fun if it's done responsibly and legally!
